- Clay Extruders, Mixers & Presses
Product Description
To extrude solid tubes/pipes
Step:1
Roll the clay on your wedging surface to smooth it into a cylinder that is roughly 2” wide. Don’t worry if it’s too long, just get the thickness right. (You can use virtually any type of clay with your clay gun as long as it’s soft clay. It’s safe to use with porcelains, stoneware, earthenware, paper clay and even polymer clay.)
Step:2
Press the release plate and then pull the plunger all the way back.
Step:3
Remove the front end cap. Load your clay cylinder into the front of the barrel, sliding it all the way back until it contacts the plunger at the rear of the gun. Pinch off any excess clay at the end of the barrel.
Step:4
Place your die of choice directly onto the front end cap and then reinstall the front end cap.
Step:5
Using slow movements, start squeezing the trigger and advancing the clay.
Step:6
Lay a piece of cloth on the wedging surface to avoid the clay sticking on the wedging surface
Step:7
After extruding you may want to run a sponge over your extrusions to smooth them out and heal any blemishes.
Step:8
Soak the sponge in water, squeeze out the excess, and then run it over your extrusions.
To extrude hollow tubes/pipes

Screw your inner shape of choice into the inner die holder by using the Allen wrench provided.
Step:2

Step:3
