I’ve had really good experiences with these D’Addario classical strings. After installing these strings they settle in proper tune, and stay in tune very well. These strings also produce a warm, mellow, not too bright sound, with excellent sustain.

Nice strings. No problems installing. I like the alternate "G" string - it has a nice sound. The strings took three of four days of playing to settle in but now they hold their tune well. The sound is well rounded and clear but a bit lite on my guitar (La Patrie "Collection"). It works well for practice but I think someone might want more projection if playing to a group.

I'm not a great or very experienced guitarist, probably a second or third year student level. I wanted to try harder strings because my guitar doesn't project much. I play a little steel string too so I have calluses on my fret fingers (the hardness certainly didn't bother me at all). My impression of these strings is that they have a more "positive" feel and they did increase my guitar's volume a little. The thing to be aware of but I actually like it is that the treble strings are slightly rough. The rectification process makes the strings opaque and just slightly textured. I plan to keep experimenting with strings but I like these and I'm pretty likely to buy them again if I don't find something I like better.

D'Addario is one of my favorite companies hands down. Whether it is clothes or other items most big companies make everything cheap and garbagy. Not D'Addario. I put their strings on all my guitars and ukes years ago and haven't turned back. The tone definitely stands out and the feel of the strings is noticeably better for someone like me who fingerpicks. They nailed it on these. The tone is rick and warm and the bass is good on the lows. Soft to the fingers but durable. 5 stars all the way!

If you have a great classical guitar these are excellent strings. If you have a cheap classical guitar these strings are even better. Most cheap guitars come with horrible strings (even some good guitars come with less than great strings). If you want to improve just about any guitar put these on. I put these on a cheap $100 classical that a friend had (didn't know how to change strings and had the old ones on for five years). These strings made it a new guitar.

I'm a semi-pro musician that has a few nylon string guitars around the house. I have played D'Addario Pro-Arte strings forever, and decided to give these Rectified strings a shot. They are well packaged, are easy to install. It takes a while for them to settle. Nylon strings in general are slow to stabilize but these take a little longer. Just have a tuner handy anytime you'll play it.They sound great, a very balanced sound. I like to play fingerstyle, mostly along the lines of samba, bossa nova, pop rock, and ballads. That's where the rectified strings are different. The top three treble strings are not silky smooth as we are used to. They have a texture you can feel, and that can be good or bad.To me it is good. I have better control of my attack with them, so I can sound more even. But it is weird at first. Now I don't actually feel it, I can jump between guitars with different sets without a problem.I'm not giving it five stars because of the adaptation that was required. It is not for everyone. But give it a shot, maybe it is for you.

High E broke by itself after tuning the guitar to standard tuning. I never had any other strings break on my guitar ever before.

The string set D'Addario EJ30 is specially made for student and serious players, which have to work hard n the instrument to achieve their goals. It's student strings which last long under hard conditions. I play. it up to 3 month and the bass strings are still brilliant. The treble strings can be up to 1 year and the older they are, the better they sound. To the point: To support students, which don't have money on a regular base, D'Addario kept this string set cheap. In Europe a single set costs 9.4 britsh pound. A set of 3 can be found for about 24-25 british pounds.I am so ashamed to see, how expensive this strings are sold in India. A single set here costs nearly as much as a set of 3 in Europe. The question is, do resellers here triple the price by buying set of 3 cheap in the US or Europe and then sell the single set for the price of 3... whatever it is, who eats all this money? I am sure that the government of India has no specific string taxes.Because of this ridiculous pricing I can not recommend to buy this fantastic strings. Buy ej45 instead which is sold for some reason at a reasonable price here. I will send a note to D'Addario to check the circumstances here. For sure they will go seriously after this, because what happens here destroys their plan to support students which is very important for them. The student is a very important client.I specially bought to publish this review. I will keep them as a proof for D'Addario with it's MRSP price of ridiculous 4.999 rupees!
