Great sound for the price. Just be aware it takes a while for these strings to settle, but once they settle they actually stay in tune fairly well

This E string is just what I needed. My daughter is four and beginning a Suzuki violin program. I needed a violin in order to play with her as she learns. Being a viola player, I already had a viola and didn't want to have to pay for a violin rental every month. I didn't even know if an E string for a viola existed. A quick Amazon search, and I found this. I went ahead and ordered it. I was a little worried, as my viola is a 15 1/8" size, that this would be too big. So far, it's just fine! I bought the high tension since I knew I would be having it at a high tension to fit my viola. The sound is good! It's quite rich on my viola and sounds even better than I would have imagined.

Perfect strings for electric/ attached pickup viola. These strings provide a ton of “information†to the pickup, allowing for a great response from electronics(amp, pedal, preamp).

I am very disappointed with this A string... It came damaged, I didnt notice until my teacher was helping me put it on my viola and we noticed a massive hemorrhage in the string. My teacher said I would not be able to use it, it would cut my finger if I played or break very quickly.

I re-string my viola once per year (whether it needs it or not :-) ). The Helicores provide consistent sound and, for the most part , require very little tuning once they are stretched , which takes half a day.

I put this string in place of the g-string in my violin and tuned it too one higher up from c. It sounds very beautiful and in tune with the other strings which I also changed with the other helicores I bought on Amazon.Thanks Amazon!
