Got one of these brushes by accident somewhere, and very happy to find some additional ones available on Amazon. I am a professional painter, and altho I do not employ "impasto" technique, I am a "scrubber," working in many thin layers. As a result, I am hard on brushes. I cannot attest as to durability over time with these, but they are a pleasure to work with and to clean up.

Absolutely love it , Im a professional artist and am constantly on the search for the perfect brushes . Ive bought so many other brands Recently, but should have just bought every size of this specific one , as I had always had incredible results with da Vinci brushes with real hair , however when I bought the same ones I’ve been using they don’t wash nearly as well , don’t hold nearly as much paint that actually transfers to the canvas rather than having to wash out , and don’t nearly as well as this incredible brush Perfect texture perfect flexibility yet stiffness so that it holds paint color and yet doesn’t compromise strokes . This paintbrush really is special.

I don't use the term "Perfect Brush" often or lightly, but this da Vinci Impasto brush is just that. It's the perfect brush...for gesso work, covering canvas with color wash before painting, for blocking in large areas, for bold splashes of hard edge color. It's firm yet supple, retains shape, almost indestructible, easy to clean, and fun to use. I love it. I'll be buying another one to join the one I have because I use mine almost daily for clean it multiple times a day, and I've been pretty rough when scrubbing it clean so it's (just baaaarely) starting to fray. With reasonable cleaning it will remain like new forever. This is a miracle of a brush and I can't recommend it enough.

I don't even know what it's supposed to be used for...bought it on sale on a whim. Ended up saving the day helping my dad repaint our multi-paneled front doors (lying flat off the hinges). Was the perfect cut, size & density brush for all the recessed areas that needed a brush to blend (and pick up) any mini roller drips excess... Need more!

Da Vinci Impasto brushes are absolutely the best brushes-- the stiffest bristles and hold their edge much longer than other brands I've tried.

This is a quality brush, however I do not like it because the tip fans out and does not have a tightness to it that I prefer.

Ich male schon seit längerem mit dem 50er aus der Serie und kenne keinen anderen Pinsel mit dem sich die Acrylfarbe ob flüssig oder pastos so herrlich verteilen lässt. Die Farbe wird in großen Mengen von dem Pinsel aufgenommen, kein Kleckern und Tropfen wie bei anderen Pinseln, sondern sie wird kontinuierlich beim Malen an den Malgrund abgegeben. Schwer, die richtigen Worte zu finden, aber jeder, der mal mit so einem Pinsel malt, versteht, was ich meine... Jetzt habe ich mir zwei weitere Größen gegönnt.

Der Pinsel hat schön stabile Borsten die nicht nach der ersten Benutzung in alle Richtungen wabbeln und er nimmt die Farben ganz anders auf.Mit einem gewöhnlichen "Tuschkastenpinsel" zB war es immer nötig genau ab zu schätzen wie viel Farbe und wie viel Wasser man brauchte um zBaus Schwarz einen dunklen, gleichmäßigen Schatten hin zu bekommen.Mit diesem Pinsel war das dagegen mehr als einfach da sich die Farbe sehr gleichmäßig auf der Leinwand verteilt.Ich bin sehr zufrieden!

Liegt super gut in der Hand. Pinselhaare sind gut verarbeitet. Macht Spaß damit zu malen. Stiel ist nicht zu glatt.
