I am enjoying this flat brush. It picks up the paint and spreads it easily, covering large areas especially when blocking in my colors. I also have been using it for long 'straight' lines and also edges. This is a very nice and versatile brush.

I use this brush for 95% of my painting. As long as you don't mercilessly scrub with it, it'll keep a nice, neat, sharp edge. If taken care of, these brushes last a long time. I hate a mushy, flared-out brush!

if you are looking for a brush that is stiff like a bristle brush, but with a much more refined edge (not flagged), this is the best i have used. There are other stiff synthetics available that are very good and have even a finer edge for perfectionists, but this brush hold up 10 times better, lasts longer and doesnt have nearly the problem with paint sticking to the bristles. Dry brushing does not splay this brush.Galleria, Ruby Satin and University (W&N i think) are all very, very nice to work with, but as stated, slightly softer, and need to be dressed with gel to keep paint from the ferrule so you dont lose the fine edge. These brushes suffer a lot more damage from dry brushing and abusive painting but much can be recovered with warm straightening techniques.

This stiff bristle synthetic is exccellent. But beware that some people are charging two or three times the price that others sell them for.

Brush worked wonderfully-- for the first painting. Halfway through the second, the ends of the bristles became frayed and bent. Brush was not abused, not left standing on its head, was not cleaned in harsh chemicals. This is the third brush this winter to meet a premature death.

The picture displays 4 brushes in different sizes. The description does refer to "brush" in singular. However, one would take the picture at face value and expect 4 brushes. I was shocked when i received only one brush. If you are going to pay $6.00 for a brush, buy it in an art supply store where you can see what you are buying. This one is just a synthetic brush.
