This part is an exact fir for my Central Brand shower control diverter. I highly recommend replacing the seat along with the diverter stem. It will take about 4-5 turns on and off to seat and still might drip a drop until seated.. Have it diverted to shower mode over night to fully seat the new hardware gasket against the seat. That's it. No Worries

We have older plumbing so we checked with our local plumber first to be certain of what we needed. He did not have the part in stock and said that this would be an exact replacement part.. It works perfectly and my husband was able to do the repair himself.
