I have to say this tool is really indispensable and a good value. It can be hard to adjust, but because it is adjustable you can use it for any configuration of the style of trailing arm and trailing arm bushing in question. The drive bit is a high value part of this. It has good diameter and hollowed out area to clear the mounting pin. It also has a removable stop. You can take it out to drive clear through to get out a bushing that's pretty rusted. And you can put the stop in to keep from driving the new bushing too far. The frame is super sturdy and stood up to me leaning hard on an 18" breaker. The head swivels. I don't know if this is necessary or if it is the reason it was hard to drive the new bushing straight. In videos other people use a hammer to straighten the bushing along the way with other pressing tools. When I did this, it put significant dimples in the head. I feel the drive bit head is too soft.

I bought this for my 1991 Honda CRX Si to replace the rear trailing arm bushings, this is a specialty tool for Hondas and Acuras. After reading the instructions and applying grease to the treads, I attempted to use this bushing removal tool but mine broke with the bushing still stuck in the trailing arm. My tool broke at the welds, but after closer inspection it looks like the welds didn’t penetrate the metal properly. And because I was under a time crunch to complete the job, I returned it for a refund and used the money to rent similar tool from my local auto parts store. Note, not all auto parts stores carry specialty tools like this one and if it had not been for the time and budget constraints I would have requested an exchange for a new tool not a refund, because the rental was smaller and harder to use but it didn’t break and got the job done.My advice is to inspect your tool for any flaws BEFORE use, READ and FOLLOW the INSTRUCTIONS and if your tool fails try exchanging it 1st, because the rental tool was not easy to find locally and some parts shops couldn’t even sell me a similar tool. Amazon took care of my refund quickly so I could finish the job, but if I had a few days to wait for the replacement it would have made the job a lot easier. I’m giving this a 2 stars because everything about this tool seemed like it would have made quick work of the bushing removal, there are even YouTubers that use a similar tool and it worked perfect for them. So I’m left with assuming my tool was just flawed because others have had success with it.

Broke on first use with little force. Cheaply made.

Worked well on my 98 Honda CRV. Put your new bushings in the freezer overnight and that'll help them contract and go in easier. Make sure you have a 1 in socket or you'll have to wrench them in and out like I did. Lol. Still worked!
