Not too bad to install, with proper tools. Spray the three upper strut bolts with liquid wrench a few times prior to disassembly and that may make life easier! Rent a GOOD spring compressor and they come out quite well. Rears, easy. Otherwise, quite nice ride with these. Perfect lift, not too much, not too little. Has a staunch look. Still has just a slight rake, not as much as stock. Love it.Running LT 265-70-17s on this 2006 4runner SE, and prior to the lift there was slight rub (that could have been massaged out) but the lift eliminated it. Could probably go larger tires, if that's on your list of things.

This worked on a 2003 toyota 4runner limited With Xreas I only used the front ones because I have rear airbags and it made it perfectly level with the back.

Installed these on my '08 4Runner after seeing these on one exactly like mine. Definitely give my TR4 a more aggressive stance. Once installed, your vehicle will need a wheel alignment, which is not terribly expensive, especially if you decide to install these yourself. The ride of the vehicle remains stock once installed. Once I installed these I purchased tires that are slightly larger to fill in some of the space these created in my wheel well. These are definitely worth the money and will give your vehicle a much more pronounced and aggressive stance. Definitely recommend.

I installed this kit on 2007 4runner sport edition with the x-reas suspension which made it challenging to say the least trying not to break the hydraulic lines interconnecting the shocks. Had to use a lot of force on the lower control arms to push it down far enough to get the shocks back in. The rear was super easy thankfully. My vehicle is perfectly level now based on the running boards. The wheel gap difference between front and rear makes it only appear as if there is still some rake on the front. Toyota has purposely arched the rear wheel wells higher to make it appear as if there is still some rake. With that said I will clarify that when I initially dropped the vehicle back down it appeared as if I got a 3 inch lift in front but after driving it around the block a few times it settled down to a 2.5 inch lift up front and 1.5 inch lift in the rear just as stated in the description. To my surprise the alignment I had done afterwards revealed that camber was not off at all even though it first appeared as if the tires were leaning in at the bottom. Toe was off a bit and so was caster. They couldn't adjust the caster higher then 1.6 degrees. Spec calls for 3.4 ish. Not a big deal as toe and camber are what wears your tires not caster. It rides the same except there seems to a bit more body lean in the corners which might just be because it's more top heavy now or it could be because the shocks are all extended now due to the increased height thereby reducing overall hydraulic pressure in the x-reas system. Overall it took me about 10 hours with typical homeowner garage tools but I did use an air impact wrench and PB blaster which helped a lot to free the rusted bolts. I love how it looks now and you definitely feel taller driving it. I almost bought just the front leveling kit but am glad I went with this one. I almost even feel like I could use another inch all around!

I have a 4runner 2006 and i ordered this because i was looking forward to lift my truck 2.5"After installing this i found the truck was looking weird and had one more issue, i was not able to get a fully alignment on the truck. This is weird because the factory upper arm controller is supposed to work just fine with 2.5"Well, i went to the shop yesterday and decided to take them out, i took some measurements of the front spacer that DayStar send to me and for my surprised the spaced is actually 1.5" instead of 1.25"They should have sent me a 1.25" front spacer which would have gimme a 2.5" lift after installation. But actually they sent me a 1.5" front spacer which provides a 3" lift after installation. This explains why i was not able to get the truck fully align with the factory upper arm controllers.1 star because of this, garbage.

I had my mechanic install these with a brand new set of Monroe Shocks and the combination is great on this stock SR5. I personally don't like how high the front looks on the outside but I love the driving height. I would definitely recommend these for anyone looking to lift a 4 runner!

Lift is good and levels the truck better and I honestly think the 4Runner should have came stock this way. Looks better, rides better and handles better. I think after having the lift on for a couple months the vehicle settled a little more and lost a little bit of the height I gained. But overall it's raised the vehicle nicely and much better in looks, ground clearance and general off road driving. I wish the lift could have been a little more. The lift was not as easy as I thought it would have been or explained it was. Daystar could have provided better instructions.Pros: Looks, ride, stance, comfort, off road and ground clearance.Cons: Install instructions

Worked great on my 2008 4Runner. Front end rake is gone now. But save yourself some trouble and rent spring compressors before attempting to put this product on your 4Runner. It’s not as easy as some will lead you to believe! The front was a pain in the ass. That’s all I will say about that (Xreas shocks). The rear in comparison, is a lot easier to deal with but still not a walk in the park. Using a bottle jack between the bump stop and rear axle is a plus when putting the rear donuts on, but make sure you don’t put too much stress on the brake lines. I still needed spring compressors, otherwise my brake lines would have snapped.

I received this lift kit super quick. Very impressed with the purchase. Had a local shop install it. Works great. Eventually I will upgrade the suspension to an actual coilover kit with new shocks/springs, but for now this is great. My one CV did start leaking after the install which is common. All in all very impressed and good bang for the buck.

Good lift kit. Fit to my 4Runner 2005. Take 7.5 hours for installation because all bolts are rusty. After that just did alignment. Better if you pay mechanic for installation. but I liked the result
