This kit was installed in 4 hours taking my time. I enlisted the help of my wife to get the last bit of flex out of the rear end to get the coils back in but it all worked out fine, as things usually do.When I contemplated this kit the deciding factor was the price. For the price of this kit what you end up with in a finished product is unbelievable. The look is outstanding, the ride quality is slightly different but also great.Keep this in mind, another reviewer described this as causing the CV boots to begin leaking. This is highly possible due to the change in geometry of the suspension with a spacer lift. The angle of the shaft is changed just enough that the inner boot fins will touch. When left in this state for very long the subsequent friction will, in my opinion, destroy the boot. There is a simple fix, that does not require a diff drop kit, called "cv boot slider mod" that is searchable and very efficient and practical.Great kit Daystar!

I installed this as a temporary lift April 2013, you can look up my build thread on the T4R forum under VUHNILA GUERILA V8DER. Gave my 4Runner a 2.5 lift that over the year has settled to about a 2.25 lift. It adds a nice edge the the 4th gen 4R that, in my opinion, became too soccer mom friendly. This kit will put your rig at about the same height as the 5th gen 4Runners, and similar ratio to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd gens. Very easy to install and does not impact ride comfort. UPDATE: Swapped these for a full coil over swap July 2015. They held up really well. Allowed me to run 255/17/85 KM2s without too much rubbing. Highly recommend.

Made a nice difference. A little lift but not too high. Back ones were easy to install. Front ones not so much. Removing the upper ball joint was not fun on mine. Ended up having to replace both upper ball joints. But it was worth it, this leveling kit is nice.

I read so many good reviews about this product before I bought it and all I can say is, DO NOT waste your money. As soon as you install them you will notice that you have no control of the car specially the rear feels like trying to catch up with the rest of the car, or If you are changing lane or trying to avoid any obstacle you instantly feel the car is moving erratically all over the place. Just spend little more and get something that makes your ride stable and safe.

Went to a local off-road shop to have them put this on my '12 TRD FJ Cruiser. Took a few hours, and they got it on great. Has held up well, no loose bolts or weird ride, drives like stock, but has better clearance. And love the leveled-out look while driving and just looking at it. It does fit bigger sized tires, but I think anything over 33" you'll have to consider body-choping it. Overall I'm satisfied.

Got this done by mechanics, took about couple of hours to complete. No issues with the job, all fits well. Wheel alignment needed once the job is done. From the driving point of view - very satisfied, feels great on the bumps. However one concern: my CV Boots started leaking, and that is due to lift since the angle on the axle changed, so I would strongly recommend 'Front Differential Drop Kit' to install aprox $30. I whish Daystar would have mentioned this in their product description, as now I need to sort this problem and that isn't cheap to do.

If you're mechanically inclined this is fairly easy to install at home. A couple years ago a had an estimate of about $1000.00 to have the lift done at a shop. you will need to get an alignment after you install the spacer lift. Here's a lint to a pretty good write up on this exact product. [...]In this article, he says it took 10 hours, but probably because he had to go get missing tools ect. It took me about 4 hours. My truck looks much better, it still rides and handles the same. IMO, it how the 4Runner should have come from the factory.

I bought for my 2004 4runner as what it says on the ad and it worked! I like the stance of my truck. It really leveled it out and lifted my truck! For people who wants to lift their truck on a budget, take this route and you wont regret!
