I've use quite a few of these over the last year. One if them failed on us but it was subjected to a lot of vibration. They're a good price and I like that they're narrow. Other null modems I've used are like an inch long for some reason. They're also clearly labeled as "null modems" so you can't confuse them with gender changers

Troubleshooting serial connections is so much easier (i.e., “do I need an extension or null modem cable?â€), and Saves space and money (lets you stock one kind of cable rather than two)

As described and worked as expected. These were required to convert a device from connecting one PC's serial port to multiple devices to a single device connected to multiple PCs.
