If you're making a choice between LED colors I think the red may provide less contrast than the green should have the most, but honestly I haven't tried them all. I'm just basing that on the green ones I bought have really good contrast. It's a bright happy green :)

Replaced some cheaper Chinese made volt meters I had in my RV that were off by over 1.5 volts in the readings. These new volt meter gauges are very clear and easy to read, and read exactly what my portable volt meter reads. Just love these !

I have put these on numerous lawn tractors to monitor the battery's state of charge. They install easily and give me piece of mind. The only negative I can think of is they are hard to see on bright sunny days. Maybe a different color LED might be easier to see. Other than that, they are perfect for this application!

One is now installed on my Snow Blower so that I can turn the switch and see if the battery for the light system needs to be charged. It also shows the power draw on the battery and whether or not I want to turn on both frontal 18v LED Lights and the rear amber marker lights. Being waterproof and robust, I am not concerned about it shorting out from being connected. Easy install for your DIY. I use outdoor connectors for the wiring, so it is protected from disconnection from vibration of the Snowblower as well. Not super bright, but legible enough for my use as it is meant to be a reference point for my power needs. This will allow me to see the battery power visually without having to open the small battery box to manually test the battery.

I purchased this 12v meter to install on my Kubota B2650 tractor. As I was adding two light bars to the tractor and I wanted to ensure I was not stealing too much power for the lamps. This easy to read 12v meter, was simple to install and the provided faceplate makes it much easier to cover any irregularities in the 1.25 inch hole I made in the dash. Now I can see my voltage level at all times while operating the machine. I can easily ensure that I am not using more power than the system can generate while I am working and thus avoid draining my battery. Recommended purchase.
