I have this inside a wall safe to run LED strip lights. Open the door and the lights come on. I have a small power strip with USB run inside the safe, but you could run this off a battery pack USB.

I bought this product to control a cat water fountain so it does not run non-stop when nobody is around. Since I want it to work not only at night, but at daytime too, I ordered the option without the light sensor. Well… It turned out not working during the day. I opened the sensor to see what is insight. And it appears that it does have the light sensor, but because the glass is much darker than the option “with the light sensorâ€, it works when the light is not very bright. Masking the light sensor with a tape solves the problem.I bet many reviews that say that the product is not working are correct- this is because the device that suppose to work during the day is not working at bright light and the reason is that the light sensor is present even in the option when it is not suppose to. Now you know the solution- disassemble and mask the light sensor with something non-transparent.Also the “instruction†that comes with the device is in broken English and confuses about amperage. It says that the current suppose to be 1-2A (4A max). What that could mean? Maybe it meant that USB power supply has to have at least 1A output, but the load has to be no more than 4A?

Order 2 motion sensor item...one with light sensor and one without light sensor.The 2 items shipped to me both have the same exact model number.and they both work exactly the same in day or night..........sent back for refund

this sensor is well beyond what I expected. I put it together with a USB string light made it a motion sensing Christmas decoration. Both motion sensor and light sensor work super good, very long detection instance and sensitive. recommended

Does not work in bright conditions. If placed in a sunny space it does not work. This is not a setting issue. It needs normal light conditions in order toWork.
