I used this to repair 5 speed 70 # Minn Kota trolling motor that only had top speed. I just cut the 24 volt power lines under the kick plate and installed this between batteries and trolling motor and setting the original speed switch to max. Now I have infinite speed selections. One complaint is the spacing between the power connections are a bit close for the 8 AWG wires bringing power to the front of the boat. Second concern is the digital readout for % of power being used, it has multiple single wire pins (10 or 11) connecting the readout to the board and same amount to the readout its self. With no wiring info included, best to take a picture so you might be able to reconnect if they get separated. Would like to know if this readout can be removed and PWM still work. I love the simple solution to infinite speed selection and should actually improve battery life.

Needed a controller to test an old golf cart motor and it worked like a charm.

I bought this controller to replace another controller that failed in the application was using it. On paper unit can handle a bit more power than the last one I had. Hopefully this one can handle the task.
