I bought this because my previous power supply is about 5 years old, and sometimes drifts because it uses analog pots to set the voltage and current. Additionally, I needed to dedicate it to another project I'm working on for an extended period of time. This supply seems to work well, and there are several features I really like: 1) the controls are digital; 2) there is a separate output enable button; 3) there is a separate 5V USB supply that I could use as a second source using a USB to test-clip cable; 4) I like the display, particularly with 0.01V resolution on the voltage and 0.001A resolution on the current and separate voltage and current readouts on the USB supply. The only thing that will take some getting used to is that the unit is very light. I'm used to the heavier power supplies that don't move when you press on the switches and buttons. But it's really not a big deal, and a lighter, more portable product is really an advantage. I'm very pleased with this supply, and I may even pick up another one in the near future.

Looks great and seems to do the job? This is my first power supply of this type, so I don't know if it's perfect, but for the price seems fine.

Perfect power supply for my needs- well thought out and relatively small for it's capabilities.

I've only had this device for a few days, but so far I like it. All of the tests I've done with a scope and meter show the device is delivering what's selected on the screen. I chose this device after looking at all of the $30-60 offerings. I liked this model because out of all the super-cheap units, it had the ability to toggle output independent on the switch for mains power. I also like that it has a USB port. No complaints!

This is handy for testing or troubleshooting any low-power device on 20 volts or less, and can also be used to measure power consumption. In the first picture, the supply is indicating 20.00 volts output, and the Fluke voltmeter is showing 19.995 volts -- only 5 millivolts difference. In the second picture, a Raspberry Pi 3 model B+ computer is being powered by the USB output at 5.2 volts and consuming 0.4 amps.Since I bought mine in 2023, Hyalec has replaced the bananna jack output terminals with 5-way binding posts. It's an excellent improvement, making it simpler to connect with "breadboard" prototypes.
