I bought these for our son's Easter Basket to use during the hunting seasons he partakes in. He has always had sensitive ears and even the claimed best of the best headphones for gun shooting don't cancel it the way he would prefer. We molded these to his ears and bought the lanyard so he couldn't lose them since he is only 7 and when he uses these there are no complaints. He says they work great and are comfortable. Definitely would recommend!

These worked exactly as advertised. A big note on making the molds: do not follow instructions to do both ear molds at the same time. Only do one ear at a time, then reheat the water and do the other ear. It's easy to mess up if you try to get both to mold simultaneously, and you'll likely have one that doesn't fit quite correctly, as the plastic will cool too much before you can do the second ear. Also make sure you only use the silicon tips for the molding process. The heat and water will mess up the foam tips if you use those. Use the foam ones after you finsih the ear mold and the earpiece is cool and dry. You want to protect the foam tips and use them for hearing protection as they provide better noise dampening than the silicon tips.

You are supposed to be able to mold these to your ear by softening them in hot water. I absolutely could not get a good fit or form with them. I was very disappointed in the process I sent them back.

I work in manufacturing and these are great, comfortable and the instructions are simple to follow for molding them to your ears.

I did not notice the protection advertises. I felt the need to put on ear muff for better protection.

I go out on the range all the time and I was testing between passive and active hearing protection and decided since Decibullz is a well-known brand that I would give it a try. One thing that I noticed off the start is that this product is very well made. I would say that the instructions that are provided to form fit the earplugs to your ears are very well descripted and illustrated. One thing that I will say though is that after all the effort of getting the ear pro form fitted to your ear that I can still notice quite a bit of sound when using it. It's only just slightly better than the noise cancelling that you might get from a really good set of earphones. They're not going to beat the noise cancelling that you'll get on an active set of ear pro but they're pretty good nonetheless.

These fit snuggly without worrying they will fall out as long as you push the mold into the curves of your ears above your canal. The sound protection at the gun range indoors and outdoors is great with a very comfortable fit. If you pull the plug out of one ear you can hear low conversation nearby and still have decent protection against moderately loud gun shots. You’ll want these in tightly if you’re shooting next to someone with a .308 though.
