Be it a firearm or a toddler, these work great to block out unpleasantly loud sounds. They are easy to use and fairly comfortable. No complaints so far.

I keep a handful in my shooting bag for when the ear muffs just don’t block out enough sound. these do seem to let in more sound then shooters ear muffs so I never use them by themselves

Very comfortable, and I use these in combination to my over-ear noise cancellation headset, and then they work great together. If these provided superb noise cancellation on their own, I would have listed them as a 5-star, but to get the 5-star rating, I include my noise cancellation head set that I take to the range or use for my power tools, and then they do the right job knocking out all the noise.

Super-performers. Can be reused (but not indefinitely) and are inexpensive enough to be disposable. They'll become "dirty looking" well before their functionality degrades.These protect hearing better than over-the-ear headsets, but still permit (basic) verbal conversation and basic environmental awareness. To receive additional hearing protection means using these PLUS over-the-ear headsets, and this combination will reduce conversation and environmental awareness!KEY TO PROPER USE:DO- Roll these lengthwise between clean fingertips until you have a thin enough profile to insert into your ear canal.- FOR SOME PEOPLE (including me) you MUST use the hand opposite the ear you're inserting the plug into, to pull the top of your ear in order to WIDEN your ear canal, THEN insert the Mack Plug.- Allow the plug to expand (less than a minute) before exposure to noise.DON'T- squish them and insert vertically. They'll fit, but they won't protect your hearing.- pop them in without rolling them. They might fit, but they won't protect your hearing.

These are pretty small compared to my normal earplugs (Howard Leight). When I insert these deeply into the ear canal, I have great difficulty getting them out. With this said, they are very comfortable and block sound quite well.

Siempre he usado tapones genéricos y decidà probar con algo de más renombre, para ver si realmente valen la pena a pesar de su costo mayor.Veredicto: Si bien tengo de otras marcas que prometen bajar 36dB y Mack's "sólo" 33dB, la verdad es que los Mack's son mejores, usando una sierra circular el bloqueo es más profundo y uniforme en cuanto a frecuencias, el sonido queda super sepultado mientras que a los genéricos de "36dB" se les filtran frecuencias agudas y un poco más de sonido en general, la diferencia es MUY notoria a favor de Mack's además de que son MUCHÃSIMO más cómodos, de verdad no creà que unos tapones pudieran ser tas cómodos.Valen la pena totalmente, sobre todo para alguien que valora mucho su salud auditiva como yo, la diferencia se nota al primer uso.PD: He visto en otras reseñas que se quejan de tener un olor quÃmico y sÃ, lo tienen, pero no es el fin del mundo y apenas se percibe, ni siquiera me parece molesto.

After years of working Day-Evening-Night shifts back-to-back, I came to be only able to sleep "well" if I wear earplugs.These work like a charm! Now, absolutely no earplugs will blockout all the sounds, but they are lowered by a large margin. Coupled with my white noise machine, these little badboys makes for quite a powerful team!
