Using it with Intex Outdoor Pool. It is quite thin rubber mat as others have noted too, but then making it thicker would increase its price. It is supposed to protect the pool surface from ladder legs, and make ladder less slippery. Rubber quality is good and protection seems quite adequate to me.You need to roll a few times in other direction to straighten it before putting in pull. No idea why people are complaining about not staying it in water etc. No issues there - it stays put perfectly. Given its very reasonable price, I would definitely recommend it.

Its a good idea, but it curls up under the ladder or just slides around the bottom of the pool.

Like many customers we have a a light-weight ladder for our store-bought pool and I can see how the mat would easily float up while kids are playing. We addressed this by taping the mat down with water proof flex seal tape which had worked well for us.

I have an 8x30 above ground pool which requires a 30†ladder. I use the pad for inside the pool to set the ladder legs on so the pool liner isn’t damaged.

This item sucked! I only bought cuz some of the reviews said it worked. It did “stay downâ€. But it just moves around after you’re in the pool and succumbed to the water movement. It stays put and flat if you don’t plan on using the pool. And the ladder did not have enough distributed weight to keep it in place. Total waste of money!!

Unfortunately, was so light it wouldn't stay under the steps, would float out and need repositioning constantly.Bought a rubbermaid rubber tub/shower mat that has suction cups on bottom, works way better!!
