I purchased this product to use for tempura recipes that my mother used to make in her own tempura pot growing up. I also believed it had potential use for other recipes of my own. Basically, I could not keep the lid part on it and believe the front part of the pot, where the lid was to insert into the part below where you insert thermometer, wasn’t angled correctly for it to remain in place. Additionally, the thermometer is in Celsius and not Fahrenheit. I will continue to use this product as it does work on my induction cooktop and oil spatters are not a problem since you can cover the surrounding area on the cooktop with newspaper. I also have a single induction cooker that I can use outdoors.

Looked good, but was too small, even with large. It has a lot more areas to have to clean, not easy. A pot is just easier and has more space.

It does what it says and it works well but the cleanup is almost not worth it. It’s a lot of stuff to deal with. I decided to go a different route and I did end up returning it. All in all my only complaint is the cleanup after the fact and maybe the amount of oil you had to use. I decided to go with a Neuwave induction wok. It is excellent for deep frying, has a rack, has a lid, and the induction burner heats up really quick and you can maintain a temperature of your choosing. It has a tapered bottom so you actually use less oil and have less waste. Plus you can also do stirfry. :) Who doesn’t like stirfry? The only drawback is the cost. Yes, it’s a little more expensive but I think the added convenience and versatility makes it a worthwhile consideration.

I used this the first day i received to fry chicken breasts followed the temperature gauge recommendedchicken was moist and golden brown i highly recommend
