If you’re willing to shell out up to $75 or more for a toilet paper holder, you will get what you paid for. It is very solid with a beautiful matte black finish. The holder pivots easily for roll replacements. The grab bar is extremely satisfying to grip as you support your weight on the way up or down to the seat.That said, I only recommend this item in a couple situations:1) You have a wall with 2 wooden studs 6 inches apart. This makes installation MUCH easier.2) You have a wall with 1 wooden stud AND you or someone you know has carpentry skills.If your chosen placement does not have a single wooden stud behind the wall, I’m sorry, but this is not going to work for you. You need at least one stud (in addition to the very complex supplied anchor) to provide enough lateral support for the holder’s grab bar to be safely secured. Without one or two wall studs, you will likely rip the holder from the wall when you put weight on the grab bar.Fair warning: Delta’s English instructions are not exactly poorly written; however, they’re not very clear. The godforsaken anchor that comes included is like something out of Dr. Seuss and the instructions don’t help much, even with diagrams. If you have carpentry experience, you’ll figure it out. If you don’t or don’t have assistance… maybe don’t buy this??In the right situation though, this thing is as attractive as it is useful.

Can't say anything about installation because we had bathroom remodelers do it, but they seemed to have no issues. We are happy with the results because it serves well as a strong grab bar and is easy to replace toilet paper rolls of any size we have tried. We love the matte black style which fits the rest of our hardware.

This grab bar also functions as a toilet paper holder. It looks good, functions well and even makes it easier, than most paper holders, to change the roll. Needed a grab bar after surgery, but DIDN’T want a grab bar that screams, “Old Folks Live Here!â€

I fell and took out my towel bar that was next to my toilet; so, when it was time to remodel, I opted for the grab bar toilet paper holder combo. However, my general contractor said that the toilet paper holder is only attached to one stud because my other anchors were not in the same area as the width of the holder. Not sure if the problem is my shower (25 year old house) or the holder itself. Super large toilet paper rolls fit. It looks really nice and modern.

Both my husband and I have back issues, so if your toilet isn't next to a sink to help lift, then these are a MUST. We aren't at the age where we need large grab bars, but these look rather nice and are super functional when you need a bit of support on your exit. Extra-large TP rolls fit fine with super easy on/off the roller bar. You will definitely want a stud or other sturdy structure to place at least one of the sides (hence the 4 stars). I've got these in matte black, chrome and champagne - used with both contemporary and transitional decor - all matched perfectly with other fixtures.
