This is a quality product. I am using this on my 10 week old Maltese puppies who have clusters of flea excrement behind their necks. It is a tedious process but this comb is very helpful. It has a comfortable handle. It is the perfect length and is easy to clean. You won't be disappointed.

Cheap wood and small. Comb is bonded well to the light wood to be fair. I honestly think this is a dollar store item and at $4, is way too expensive. It didn't perform any miracles with my dog's (Havanese) matting, and added little value to the process. May be OK to use with scissors to avoid cutting skin when eliminating matts, but as a dry comb, I got nowhere.

We do rescue dogs and have foster failures of our own. We regularly check for fleas and ticks, just as anyone should. Just comb your dog or cat with this flea comb and it will show you if there are any adult fleas present on your dog or cat. You might have to use a large brush first to get out any snarls, though. If you do find fleas, this comb will remove the adult fleas but not any eggs or flea larvae. You would need to use a flea product to totally get rid of fleas. This comb only removes the adult fleas. If you you do find adult fleas, comb thru with this comb, dunking the comb with attached fleas on it into a glass filled with a mixture of some baby shampoo and water. That will kill the adult fleas off of your dog on the comb. Remove fleas from the comb to stay in the soapy water. This comb has a nice wooden feel to it so I do like it. NICE and very happy!! : )

This is sturdy and comes with a nice wooden handle that is comfortable to hold in your hand. My cat has short hair but it’s thick with an undercoat. He rarely gets mats so this wasn’t a true test for how well it works against mats. It didn’t pull out a lot of hair like his usually brush does, but was great for getting the hair left behind after brushing with his typical brush and getting out that thicker undercoat. He really enjoyed it too!! Seriously he just purred immediately because it felt good.

ReviewsByMuseThis comb looked like it would be a nicely made product. However, it feels very cheaply made and I just don't trust the stick to hold up to any coarse brushing or dematting of my long haired cat. I cannot see this comb lasting very long. The metal tines are - barely - held into place and it just feels... cheap. I cannot recommend this item.
