Note: There are total 8pcs screws, 4pcs used on the front and the rest used on back.
Cut depth if necessary
If the cat door is too thick for the door you want to be fixed to, use a scissors, saw or cutting machine to cut along the line A or B as shown. The cutting scale is around 3 to 6 mm. For small cat flap door, the cutting scale is around 1 to 3 mm.
Function Instruction of the Switches:
- Turn Red and Green switches to both sides, pet is prevented from entering or exiting house.
- Turn Red and Green switches to right side, pet is allowed to enter house, but prevent from exiting house.
- Turn Red and Green switches to left side, pet is allowed to exit house but prevent from entering house.
- Turn Red and Green switches to middle, pet can leave and exit any time.

I purchased this so my cats would have access to their food and litter boxes but at the same time keep the dogs from being able to get to the cat food. This door was just the right size, was extremely easy to install in our basement door and has worked perfectly. My large 15lbs cat had no trouble fitting through the door, figuring out how it works immediately. My dogs are all 30-50lbs so they can not fit through it to gobble cat food. The locking mechanism has been a huge help to keep the cats safely closed up and not have to worry about any escaping during home renovations with workers in and out of the house. The swinging door can be a bit loud at times at times but usually that's only when the cats each sit on either side of the door and make a game out of batting / smacking it back and forth with their paws. Overall the door has held up very well in the 5 plus years it's been installed. At times the locking mechanisms can be a bit hard to slide and lock down but I don't use them often. The clear plastic door has some scratching and is not quite as clear anymore which is to be expected but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another in the future if needed. It was a great price and solved my problem of the dogs getting into the cat food.

Love this cat door. We have it for our laundry room. I love the magnetic lock so the flap doesn’t swing. The flap does stay once it close and doesn’t move with gravity. Our cats love playing between it at 3 AM. So beware it maybe used as a cat toy by mistake. It’s easy to install and looks great

This cat door is great for anyone looking to have their cat go freely from one side of the cat door to the other. However if like myself you need to contain your pet/s to one side or the other for any amount of time and your pet is bigger than a kitten, you may have trouble doing so with the locking mechanism on this cat door. My 7 month old male is a sturdy fella and pushes and paws at it until the door slips past the little piece of plastic holding it closed so he can escape. And it doesn't usually take long. Great otherwise. Easy to instal. Looks decent. Cats figured it out quickly. But don't buy this item because of the lock feature or you'll be sorely disappointed.

The door open/close mechanism is cheesy. My cat can move locked to unlocked. I temporarily lock the door in position w/ painters tape

We utilized this cat door assembly in an off-spec installation, and it went great. Instructions were straight forward and easy to follow with no issues at all. Had it installed in about twenty minutes, and that included the unboxing as well as perusing the provided instructions. Would certainly recommend and buy again if the need arose.

I like to sleep with my cats, but I have to sleep with my bedroom door closed because of reasons. This works perfectly for that. It was very easy to install with my crappy garage sale jigsaw and the included template was perfect. The size of it is also perfect as my largest cat is 15lbs, but it's not too big or heavy for my dainty 8lb cat to use. It took a week to teach them all how to do it, but you just have to be patient and keep pushing them through it a couple of times a day until they learn they can do it themselves. Whenever a cat would cry to be let in or out, I would just gently push them through the cat door. I would also push it open just a little bit to show them it opened and then let it fall on them (gently) to teach them how to push past the resistance to get to the other side. My most skittish baby took a week. Least skittish took 2 days to get it.

Ah yes I did like this product and seller. I ordered my cat door and it was installed 24 hours later. It was so easy to install. It took me all of 20 minutes to install if that. The door its self has a magnet at the bottom so it returns to the closed position quickly without flapping and it's not difficult for my cat push through. It has a 3 way locking system. 1- Fully locked both ways. 2- open to go out but locked to get in. 3- open in get in locked to get out. The open to get in but locked to get out position is perfect for cat owners. It's ideal for cat curfews. I set it on that position just before curfew time. Once my cat is in he can't get out and roam at night. Postage super fast as usual with Amazons 1 day delivery. I highly recommend this product for both cats and dogs and the seller.
