This thing works great right out of the box. The viewing screen has a clear picture, and it's easy to operate and switch between the angles. It comes with a few attachments that you can attatch to the cable to move small objects around or grab to bring to the surface. Bought this for a birthday present for my husband and he loves it- he has used it several times now, in the drain pipes to find hair clogs and in the wall to locate electrical wiring (and pull it to the side) before drilling in some brackets to install shelves near an outlet. The quality and construction of the endoscope is good and this is a great product to have- a very handy tool to add to your collection.

I bought this remote camera to evaluate a blocked sewer line on an abandoned building that would be put back in service. (The cost to buy this camera was about a third less than the cost to rent a sewer cam for 4 hours, and a fifth of the cost to hire a plumber with a scope. )As I was able to clear and flush the line (with a garden hose and nozzle), I was able to see well enough using this camera to know that the blockage was being cleared and that the sewer line was intact. I could see that the line was not collapsed, once the debris was flushed. However, since this was a cast iron pipe, coated with a century of iron scale, i was not able to see detailed condition of the cast iron. The camera Cable is not well suited to "push" through a sewer by itself. I first tried attaching it to an electricians fish tape, but that also got hung up on joints and turns. I then taped it to the garden hose that I was using to flush the pipe. That allowed the camera to move down the pipe and see reasonably well. For the final look, it worked well to push the hose the full length of the camera cable, then record in one continious run as I pulled the hose and camera backwards out if the sewer. Luckily, the camera cable 16 foot length was just enough for me to get to the sewer line hookup to the sewer main, but length is a limit. The picture quality is pretty good, considering. The light does a good job, with juat a bit of "bright white light wash-out". The easy ability to switch between forward and side cameras is useful. The one thing I haven't tried yet is to download the video - you can see it pretty well on the provided screen. Now that I own it, I'm looking forward to funding other uses

Super clear image. Love the side view camera. I bought this to look at the cylinder walls on my Camry and it did exactly what I needed. It was fully charged out of the box. The buttons are not particularly intuitive but once you figure them out the device is easy to use. The one downside is no matter how hard you try you can't spin it once it's inside somewhere, the only way you can really spin the camera view when using the side view is to spin the entire extra bundle of wire and device at the same time it's a real hassle, it's a very stiff wire but it's almost too much. For the price though for sure worth it.

I’m an average DIY’r and while running some cat6 I ran into some spots where it’d be helpful to see what’s around before drilling holes in walls. This is more than enough for home use because the video quality is pretty nice for a lightweight handheld unit. I’m not sure why people prefer to go through the hassle of adding apps to use a wifi version and have to fumble around with their phone separately while using the camera. This does the trick.Came with an sd card which is good if you need to take photos or videos just make sure you hit format before using it so it’s clear and ready. Old habit. It also came with some wire running attachments that can be handy for other uses but overall I am satisfied with the brightness of the screen and quality of the video. If anyone has capital one the rewards can be spent as cash on Amazon so bonus this was free, kinda.

I finally bought this inspection camera after realizing how often I thought to myself "this would be so much easier if I had an inspection camera". The DS300 had the right features for a few pending projects at the time (like removing a piece I dropped in the dryer filter opening without having to take the whole thing apart). I have used it a few times for car repairs where it is especially helpful when you drop a bolt in the engine compartment or want to inspect a cylinder & valves. The list of uses is long. The camera resolution is awesome and I love the size of the screen. I have used expensive inspection cameras at work and can honestly say I like this one better. Other cameras have articulating lenses that surely would be great for some jobs but I wanted to keep it simple and have not really missed that feature so far. With the second camera you can see off to any side by turning the cable. The cable is also stiff enough that you can point the front camera in the direction you want. The quality feel of the camera, cable, display and buttons are very good in my opinion. After about a year of use (maybe 15-20 projects) I don't really see any wear on the cable. Also was worried the wires might break with repeated bending of the cable but so far so good. I would buy this same camera over again.

I bought this tool about a year ago. Used once immediately after receiving. When I went to use it again it did not work. Information on Amazon was of no help as return period was long past. I looked up company on internet and wrote them thinking it was a long shot. I immediately got a response. Great communication! They immediately sent me a brand new unit after I provided basic info from my Amazon order. The new unit worked great. They explained they have a 2 year warranty. Additionally they followed up with emails to insure I received tool and was content. This camera is easy to use and very handy. We will see how long the new unit lasts. However the manufacturer stands behind the product.

It works good, i use it to inspect motors, going in from the spark plug, the side camera is awesome to have because of the tight angles, picture quality is amazing, and can save videos and photos on it, came with a small sd card, only thing is the long cable, wish there was an option for a shorter cable since i don't need that long of a reach.

Overall worked really well. The side camera is quite handy and I’m glad I purchased it. It’s only used on the odd occasion.A few issues.- if you don’t have the screen on the right angle it’s difficult to see the screen. It’s not like your phone screen for example where you can place is anywhere and still see the screen fine.- The cable is permanently fixed into the screen, it makes it awkward for storing etc. a little thing but would go a long way.- The buttons are not intuitive, it’s tricky to know how to move from one camera to another.Overall worked for what I needed and I think good value for money. You’ll praise yourself when you need it and it’s sat in the workbench.

The scope arrived promptly and in good condition. I used it once, to look inside an old brick chimney. Had to read the manual several times to figure out the buttons on the viewer. Most of the buttons worked fine as long as I was not wearing gloves. The operation of the buttons to take photos and video was difficult. They are small and close together. The camera and viewer gave a good image of the area within a few centimetres of the scope's camera and light. Switching between the camera at the end and side of the scope worked well. The photos and video worked well enough. the scope's cable could be directly straight out and its orientation controlled within the 30 to 50 cm of insertion needed. My computer uses Ubuntu 22 linux and the photos and video could be downloaded without issue. The borescope viewer was plugged into the computer's USB port using the cable it came with and then turned on. The computer acknowledged the device and permitted file transfers and file management. They could be viewed using the Ubuntu video player and VLC.I am happy with the viewer for the price. May it live long.
