This is the only kind of brush that has worked to deshed my short hair dogs. I babysit a pitbull and my dog is a dachshund mix. It works on both of them. One important user not is that if your dog has a lot of scruf to pull that taught so when you brush the dog you don't punch them. This works great on a wet or dry dog. This brush has a nice weight balance. I know $20 sounds like a lot. But you'll end up spending money on brushes that don't work and you can't return and still have to spend $20 for this type of brush. Please believe me. I'm not rich... I tried cheap and so did my 2 neighbors. We ended up with 3 unuseable brushes lol

I have bought other products like this that didn't work. But this one does. Doesn't pull dogs hair. Great product.

I love the quality and it works great! Comfortable for me to hold and nice on the dogs too.I normally don’t write reviews, but this one was worth doing so.For years I had the other brand F……r, they changed their design😠therefore I needed to look for another brand. It was meant to be! This one is wonderful. Small size is for my 16lb. Med. Short hair dog and the Med. Size is for my 42lb. Med.short hair dog. I purchased “extras†for my other places, because I groom my dogs often. I couldn’t be without!

Nice grip and weight to this grooming tool. Does the job as expected. I still need to use one or two other tools to complete the de-shedding job but this one helps with the process. How does one dog shed so much? Yikes!

Removed the pesky undercoat and while I ended up wearing a lot of it I was impressed by how well it worked! It is half the price of the furminator and is easier to use. Hair removal is easy but be careful not to use any pressure. And in spite of it being for long haired dogs, I used it on my pit bull and he loved it. Once going through his coat I would rub him with my hand to get the skin excess and then it would come out with ease. Finally, I went back through with his soft bristle brush and got the little remaining hair. I would 100% recommend it to anyone who has a dog that is tired of dodging their dog when wearing black and trying to get to work without the additional time and stress of using a lint brush. It’s really going to save us both some of our remaining sanity! 😃

I was thinking about getting a furminator, but the price is pretty steep. Then I saw this option and boy am I impressed. This tool really gets the fur and amazingly enough, my dogs line up to be groomed. I have three dogs with different lengths and types of coats, and the tool worked great on each one.

My dog's hair is not long, it doesn't tangle and so for that type hair, I can't speak to the comb's performance. I can say I feel it is well made. It's perfect for my small Chihuahua. It just has a good feel to it when I combed my dog's hair. It combed out my dog's loose, slightly shedding coat. I hope this description is helpful and easy to understand.

This really pulls at my dog's fur. He is not at all matted. I wouldn't buy this again. Junk.
