I first looked for a plug-in version by a different brand and it was a whooping $225. Then I found this one and it helped me break all the old tiles in my house with ease. Once you got the dewalt batteries, you're stuck to the brand. But I have a few waitley and it still did very well! Don't underestimate the power of this tool! Definitely worth especially for the price!

Well I probably did not really need this but wanted one. I have access to a hammer drill at work if I need to borrow one. I have drilled several holes in concrete and even a granite slab. Works perfect and nice to have the right tool when you need it. Have to install some anchor bolts, at my Mom's place, nice to to try and borrow or rent a drill.

I owned a corded hammer drill for many years. It took a few minutes to drill a inch or inch and half hole in a brick.Then one day I needed to drill into a stone. It took 30 minutes and balded the drill bit. So to drill 4 holes, it took almost 2 hours. I told my friend about it and then he told me I need to upgrade to a brushless SDS Hammer Drill.I am ordinarily DYI and follow the Dewalt line because the majority of the construction sites use them. I do have some green tools but not many.I did not need a high end brushless SDS hammer drill and this met my price point. Once I got it. It was easy to assemble. You just screwed the handle on, inserted the SDS drill bill, installed the battery and I was ready to go. The first hole I made in the brick took less than 5 seconds. I was laughing and chuckling. Where has this tool been all my life? It was like drilling a rock with a hammer and chisel before. I made 4 holes in less than 30 seconds. No more sweating and pushing on the drill. I felt like I was drilling into butter. It was so smooth and fast. There was no heavy lifting of the drill and battery for minutes while I was developing aches and pain in the shoulder and back. I even made another hole in the same stone as before and it just went through it in seconds. Wow!

This tool is great. I've used it a few times and has just as much power as a corded hammer drill. Easy to change bits, and batteries. Very happy with this purchase.

SDS plus hammer drill. So handy! It performs like my old plug in hammer drill but so much more convenient. Has done everything I've needed so far. Highly recommend.

I wear yellow underwear so I'm biased but this is a great hammer drill. Perfect for lags or tap cons. Lots of power and it is light so one handed operation is possible. Very impressed. Better that my plug in from another manufacturer.

I don't review a lot of products, but this needed one. Wow, what a piece of equipment. I needed five 3/8 holes drilled into concrete to mount my deck stairs to secure them with wedge anchors. This did the job in under two minutes. Great power with a 5Ah battery. This drill is so satisfying I'm now in search of other things to mount to concrete around my house.

I bought this drill just to lift my tilt hoist rather than cranking the handle by hand, it seems to have enough power for the job and works for me.
