Great tool so far, helps me do my safety devices installs on porches and house. Nota Dewalt, but uses Dewalt 20 volt batteries. Good addition to my toolbox.

My husband works full-time in masonry, he is very familiar with hammer drills, owns a few. He likes this one; his Dewalt MAX Batteries work just fine with it.He said he’d place this one in the mid-range when it comes to the hammer drills he has used or has owned; this has no performance, nor power like the more costly, brand-name competitor’s drills, but for this price, this is a fine tool, and he reaches for it often while working on smaller jobs. You get what you pay for; good price for this value.

Great SDS hammer drill. This drill is made for DeWalt batteries and came as a tool only. Has a ton of power and works as it should. It has some weight to it and it’s very durable. Great price for this drill!

I really needed a better way to split old nuts that won't come off. This has done the job easily. I also used it to break up a small slab of cement, it was only a few feet. I wouldn't use this for larger projects.

My first impressions after using this SDS hammer drill is that it is very good. First off, be aware that it does take special SDS bits, that are 10 millimeters in shank diameter. I believe both SDS and SDS plus bits would work, because they have the same shank size. As far as the operation of the drill itself, is that when you first start the drill, it seems like it ramps up to speed, and it simply goes through concrete like butter. It's much much better than simply trying to drill in concrete with a standard concrete drill bit. The hammering action is what makes a huge difference. The drill comes with four different sized drill bits. You can pick up other bits, including chisel type bits for hammering only (no rotation).Note that this does not include a battery or charger, but it does use the standard Dewalt Max batteries. This is a pretty good deal in my opinion, especially if you simply need to use it every once in a while.
