Bought this to add to my dewalt tool collection. Very happy with it. Lots of suction. Compact but hold alot of debris. Good price. Love it having duel power capabilities. Two negatives though... wish it charged batteries as well and also wish came with extensions. Light weight for its size is a plus too! Battery lasted longer than I used it! (8ah)

Compact, good suction power and can use batteries or plug into wall. Does a great job cleaning up a small job mess. Extremely happy with this product and seems very durable

I just recently took on a job driving a school bus and if you are a school bus driver, you understand how much of a pain in the you know what it is to sweep in between the seats to get the dirt out and all other kinds of things that children drop on the floor of the bus. I bought this vacuum because I have already invested into the DeWalt 20V Max tool line and have a few of those batteries around to run my tools plus I needed a vacuum that would be much stronger than your usual big box brand store type dust buster. This vacuum does fit the bill and does the job nicely. It has strong suction for a battery powered vacuum which supprised me, even to the point where it is almost as strong as my 5 gal shop vac that I have in my work shop. It comes with on board tools that you would most commonly use on a shop vac and this vac with the cord option weighs in at just over 9 pounds. The only cons that I am finding with this vacuum which are not many...- It does not come with any extension wands to allow you to reach into that hard to reach areas like what a school bus would have but you can get generic extensions at your local Lowes or Home Depot.- On a 5Ah 20v Max battery, it will run about 20 minutes only. BUT will run off a 120V power inverter that is capable of supplying over 300W. (If you have the corded option with this vacuum)- Lastly, This vacuum from what I have researched is not packaged with a battery and a charger if you want to use it in the battery mode. It will require you to purchase a battery and a charger seperatly wich can be an additional $150.00 or more, depending on the size battery you get.I have this vacuum now for some time and it continues to work flawlessly! I have purchased the 60V Flex Volt Batteries to use on not only this vacuum even though it will only draw 20V. BUT IT IS 20V at 9Ah, but other DeWalt tools that I have and this vac will run for a VERY LONG TIME before needing to charge the battery. I am finding that when I need to do small vacuum jobs around my house, I pass up my dust buster that I have and use this vacuum.

My big wet/dry vac broke and I was looking for a new one. I like the fact that this DeWalt vac is small and portable and I can easily take it anywhere with ease, even up ladders and in small crawlspaces. Definitely couldn't do these things with my old big, fat and heavy ShopVac. Talking about weight, the DeWalt is pretty light at about 10lbs. without a battery pack attached. Again, I found the size and weight very easy to carry and maneuver in tight spaces.A definite plus for the vacuum is its dual power source capability. It a corded and cordless model all in one. It worked fine using each power source, but to be honest, unless you are going to be in a place that is not close to an outlet, I would save the hassle of battery and just use the cord. The suction for this vacuum is okay in my opinion. Of course my old, large shopvac was more powerful but I was expecting a little more suction for its size. Maybe the suction could have been better if it came with more attachments to concentrate the suction more, but it doesn't. That is definitely a negative about the vac. I don't see that there is attachments for sale, such as a long nozzle to get into tight spaces, etc. It only comes with a wide floor type attachment. From a noise perspective, I didn't find it that loud. DeWalt says its 81 db which is within same limits. In summary, I like the portability and flexibility of the DeWalt vac. It is big enough for clean ups, but it is lower than expected on suction. It's not perfect but for most DIY'ers or professionals that need to be able to carry a vac into various environments, I think it gets the job done. I'd recommend it for those types of situations.

I’ve had mine about a month and enjoy using it for fast clean up when the job is done. I like the size and the option of corded or cordless. Suggest that you buy an extra filter and that you fasten an old sock to input tube inside. I use a zip tie to fasten it. This saves the filter and is easily changed out.

Great vac with very good suction. I keep it in the garage with a charged battery. When I have a small mess, I can quickly grab it and clean things up in a flash. It runs on battery or an extension cord. I have only used it with the battery. I am thrilled with this purchase and highly recommend.

Really well made tool.. as always Dewalt comes thru. probably not the strongest suction in the market, but more than handles for my use. With dual power, both 20V cordless or 110V AC it allows easy use inside or outside. great product and more than happy with it.

After reading some mixed reviews, I decided to give this a go anyway. Been using for about a month now during a travel trailer renovation on farm with no power on site. The ability to use the batteries from my other Dewalt tools is great. Battery life is very good, I have 2 so can get lots of cleaning done. The power of the vacuum is adequate - certainly not a 120v replacement, but it does pretty well, enough to make a difference in the ease of cleanup so I think it has been a worthwhile purchase for sure. Emptying is super easy, hose stores and is long enough, unit is light and small enough. Would be nice to have a highpower mode and crevice tool.
