After using it for several months I can say with certainty it works the same as any other chainsaw oil, only it won't pollute the land like regular. As spills are unavoidable (at least for me) I take care of the environment and my land by using a biodegradable chainsaw oil.

Until a coupla years ago I never thought about me dumping a gallon or so of oil on my farm every year from my chainsaw. I'm so happy to have been educated about an alternative.

Works just as well as petroleum based chain oils in my Stihl 038 AV Super2 and Echo CS-400. Worth paying a little extra to not be spraying toxic crap around my farm.

I suspect the oil quality is probably superior as are most DeWalt products but the 1 gallon jug has a chintzy cap that could not be tightened without jumping the threads. I cut down a washer from another product's lid and added it to the the DeWalt lid which seems to work ok for a temporary fix, until I can find a better quality lid. This oil is too expensive to lose it due to a faulty lid.
