Needed a big socket that only came in 1/2 inch drive but didn't require a lot of torque. A lot cheaper than buying a 1/2 inch ratchet for just one job.

I lost my old adapter and needed a new one. It's a quality DeWalt bit, looks great, built well. Really like the grip it has etched in the steel. Worth the price!

This is a very handy and pretty tough little adapter. So far it has worked very well on my car repairs. My one beef is that it is very smooth / slippery (the knurling is very shallow), so it can be a real pain to pull out of sockets. I guess that’s also a benefit - you’re not going to have sockets fall off this adapter.

I bought a Dewalt socket set that came with half inch sockets and ⅜ sockets. There was an adapter to convert from ½ to ⅜ but no adapter for the reverse. That's why I bought this. Its fine. Matches perfectly with the rest of the set. Only minor issue is, there's no slot in the case to put it in.

I do one Need a 1/2†impact gun have a 3/8. This adapter works for me with medium duty chores tire changes etc.
