Used with spoil board bit. No vibration. I had to return a cheaper off brand extension, it vibrated a lot. Do not buy a cheaper extension. Amana makes good stuff. I never hesitate to buy Amana. I used it to flatten a log that had been chain sawed for carving, big cuts.

Works great for my wood slab flattening table to extend my 3 inch surfacing bit closer to the slab.No perceptible vibrations after two years use until I bent my last one by moving quickly through a large knot hole and entering the wood on the other side too fast in a burr oak slab with a 3.5 HP Festool router.I like this chuck extension enough that I purchased the same one again after mine was damaged.

It was always so frustrating to have to raise your project up off of the perfectly square and flat table to reach the festool router. Now I can cut into the table... this product is well made and well balanced. Will buy again if needed.

Beefier than I needed for routing out wooden bowls with a template ant 2-3 hp router, but it should do the trick
