Well desgned and more heavy duty than my previous cheap model where the wimpy hose broke within a few months of casual use. this pump has a sturdy hose and is very easy to use!

I bought this because it is a pain putting gas into the boat and generator. Works great for this. What surprised me, it is great at removing gas from the generator. Just went through a hurricane in FL, used two generators. Just filled them up when power came back on. I opened the gas tank on the generator and took 7 gallons out and put it in gas tanks. We may use the generator every couple of years, if you leave gas in it, it may not work next time. I just turned on generator and had it run the small remaining gas out.

Update: customer service put in the right direction to buy a rubber hose for it so Im hoping the rubber hose works better then the plastic. A+ customer service. I really had high hopes for this because it met everything I needed it for as far as length, ease of use with the pistol grip, and the c port to where I can plug it in and not have to worry about batteries, BUT the first one I got leaked out right where the shaft that pulls the water up went into the head of the pump. Deway replaced it for me and sent another. The same day I took it out of the box and tried to use the new one I seen it leaks out of the hose right where the hose connects to the head... I checked the rubber washer and it looks fine which only leaves the piece that snaps over the actual plastic hose itself. There's nothing I can do to fix it... Really disappointed with the quality of it. I'll probably end up returning it and trying another brand.

Time is the only real judge of overall product quality; however, it doesn't appear to be a battery vampire, I've transferred 25 gals. from 5-5 gal cans and the batteries still seem to have decent power left in them, which was a major curiosity when ordering this unit, the black rubber hose version is easily detachable for cleaning before any long-term storage period (which is planned), so all in all I'll find out in a couple years if it still works when I reinstall batteries and try to use it again. Before storage be sure to remove ALL fuel left in the unit as modern crapoline could go bad over long periods of storage, even possible if you've used fuel treatments to extend the storage life of the fuel!!!
