Have an excellent 48 foot light string with 24 S14 1W LED bulbs. Wanted to dim them. The mfr (Feit) made no mention as to whether they were dimmable. Microscopic print on the bulb base said “Not for dimmingâ€. I said let’s see about that. Tried one of the bulbs on a dimmer circuit in the house and it worked fine so I bought this. Hooked it up d2d and dimmed to about half brightness and it has worked perfectly every night for 2 weeks. Appears well made and waterproof. Remote is so handy to adjust all aspects of the lighting. Don’t buy replacement “dimmable bulbs “ before giving this a try. I think there’s a bit of deceptive marketing behind that concept.

If it was for our own home we’d probably prefer a version that connected to Alexa but since this is for our Airbnb we wanted something that did require connecting to a smart device. This worked perfectly to allow our guest to turn on and off the string lights remotely.

This is the only Dimmer with Dusk to Dawn feature that I could find. This feature works great. I've had other models of this brand outside in rain for a few years and they work great.What I don't like: The remote at 50 feet going through glass and a teak patio table and chairs does not work. I've had 3 other remote devices work at this same location including one from the same brand. I can only get this remote to work from 25 feet. It does not matter for me as I set it and forget it. Also the remote compared to about 5 similar others is a little finicky on how you press the on/off button.What I like:You can use this in the following ways and once you've done it once it's intuitive and easy: 1) Manual on/off 2) Remote on/off w or w/o dimmer 3) Set Dim level and On at Dusk off at Dawn (Turn it on, adjust desired dim level, press on a dusk, and done, will repeat each night) 4) Set Dim, and on at Dusk for a fixed amount of time and then off (Turn it on, adjust desired dim level, press on at dusk, press how long to stay on 2,4,6,8 hours, and done, will repeat each night). Lights will come on each night at the same dimmer setting each time. 5) On with timer (Turn on, adjust dimmer, select how long you want lights to stay on (2,4,6,8 hours) and done, lights will not come on again by them selves with this setting)

I did not keep this timer, as I didn't keep the lights they were bought for. However, this timer is great! It has a remote that dims, and brightens light, timer spot on, great purchase and didn't disappoint.

The off/on button works but the other buttons do not. When I push other buttons nothing happens. Then later the lights start flashing at random times

This was exactly what I was looking for in a photocell timer. It will come on at dusk and go off at dawn, or 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours after dusk if you prefer. It was just what I needed and works perfectly.
