These were very handy to put my driveway lights on from dusk to dawn . I found the best way to use them is to screw one in where your light bulb goes and try an set the eye part towards where the sun sets or if you want it to come on sooner turn the eye towards the sunrise. It works on how bright it is outside the darker it gets the sooner it comes on. Don't worry it comes on way before it's dark out.

When I got these I tried them in a lamp in the house and the sensor didn't seem to work but before returning I put them in my outdoor light post and front-door lamp and Ta- Da! So no complaints here. Wasn't sure about the door fixture because it's on a covered porch but it works fine. No more remembering to turn the lights on when I head out. It's been about a month and, assuming they hold up, they are cheaper than buying sensor light bulbs.

The dusk to dawn outlets arrived on time, but they would not work in my outdoor lights, why? I searched online and finally found the instructions. It seems they do not work if your globe is opaque or frosted!! That bit of info was not listed on the Amazon site. BEWARE! They are no use to me.

This 2-pack socket arrived quickly. I used one to replace a dawn to dusk socket that had gone bad after 10 years. And during most of that time the porch light stayed on, not only all night. but often all day. The Dewenwils works beautifully--the sensor seems more sensitive than the old one. I installed it while it was dark and immediately had bright light. It shut off right at dusk, even though my light fixture is situated against the house and under a 6-foot porch overhand (roof). So far, very good!

Used these sockets in our outdoor veranda sconces for Christmas lighting. They worked as advertised and I have had no issues. I was concerned when I first installed them as the sensor ended up toward the back of the fixture. This turned out to not be a problem and the lights worked great!

No, dudo que sea efectivo, el tema es que en el lugar que lo coloque esta sombreado y no me funciono. Pero considero si debe ser eficaz en un lugar con mucha luz para que funcione correctamente.
