Seems to work well compared to what I was using. It has only one moving part, the dial that sets where you put it. What I had, the dial would rotate and you set when you want it to come on or shut off on the same moving dial. It turned out that it only lasted 1 year, bought it from a well known supplier. I hope this timer works better and is better suited for the outdoors.

I have similar timers for a very long time. And finally after a nasty drop, the dial broke off.I have the electronic versions of this timer. But when I have a power outage I need to reset how long the timer is to stay on.With the mechanical, no worries. The timer is dialed to the correct time and we are done.In one of my older models, a surge when through one of the three outlets. The outlet was damaged and the timer continued to work on the remaining two.This is a great product.

Works as expected, very simple operation, easy to use.But 4 stars because of Installation. The only mounting point is directly behind the power cable, you can’t get a screw or tool in there, have to put screw in wall or post then try to pop the device on there, can’t tighten after. Needed a velcro strap to keep it from flopping around. Power cable is very short so mounting options are limited.

I didn't want the lights on all night but always forgot to shut them off, this solved that problem and works great! Love that it splits and we can plug the inflatables into it as well

After originally writing a review on how this thing worked in the rain, I have found that that's not necessarily true. After two rainstorms, the product has visible water inside the dial and the middle plug looks like it's partially melted. It's a good thing I had it plugged into a power outlet that trips when something is wrong. It doesn't appear safe in weather. Dry conditions are fine.
