Be sure to use LED bulbs for best results. Incandescent bulbs don't work well.

For so many years, all the outdoor holiday projection lights have been so popular. I bought a couple of them years ago, but none of them have on/off switches (or timers). So I am constantly plugging them in at dusk and then unplugging them before I go to sleep, and this has been driving me crazy, because there are nights that I get into bed and then have to get out of bed, go downstairs, and go outside because I forgot to unplug the lights. I have looked at various timers, but some of them are complicated, or hard to read, or hard to operate, some of them are not for outdoors, and some of them are only good for one cable. This product is a game changer. It can handle 3 cables (i.e. 3 lights). It plugs into ONE of the receptacles in my outdoor outlet, so I still have the other receptacle available if I need to plug in anything else. The controls are super easy and give you choices of always on, dusk-to dawn (i.e. lights come on at dusk and go off at dawn), and two-, four-, six- or eight-hour blocks of time (i.e. you program it to keep your lights on for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours at a time). This is perfect for me because I just want to leave them on for a few hours each evening. The sensor is not so sensitive that it will be affected by a porch light, street lights, headlights, etc, coming on. So if the words "set and forget" are music to your ears, I highly recommend this product.

A bit tricky to get the hang of. Functions as a 24 hour clock. So if you turn it to “4 hours†that means that it will stay on for 4 hours at that same time frame everyday. It also had a “dusk to dawn†feature which was nice but does anyone want Christmas lights on that long? Despite those things, it looks nice, was long enough to reach my lights which was good and not too expensive!

It works well. It would have been nice for the cord to be longer. Been using it for two weeks and no concern so far. Like that it has built in extension. Thats helpful! 👌

Nice long cord attached to times so you might not need an extension cord to plug in Christmas decorations. Very simple to program. There is no remote.
