Although it was a day late arriving, these are exactly what I needed to be able to connect a portable radio to an external antenna on my vehicle. I also use the SMA Female to UHF Female adapter that was purchased separately.

Previous to this device I had been using a SMA to SO-239 adapter with a thin piece of coax between the two fittings. I worked fine for about 6 months then a few days ago the coax slipped out of the SMA fitting. It wasn't something I use regularly but on my Nano VNA to test SWR on an antenna I was building. So maybe about 10-12 times I've used it in that time span. So I thought I'd try this to remove the weak link of the thin COAX. To be fair I'll give it 6 month to make sure it outlasts the COAX version but I'm pretty sure it will.
