This non-OEM crystal is a loose fit in the bezel, and can be dislodged if not careful. It's made of thinner and less flexible plastic, and has less curvature than the OEM crystal. It cost a lot less than one from Mitutoyo.

Fit perfectly in my no-name Chinese calipers with the same sized crystal. Turned out to be a lot easier to install than I originally thought. Was all prepared getting my crystal press ready from among my watchmaker/clockmaker tools but found that when I pried off the bezel, you could press out the inner ring and then the crystal just easily dropped right in. Great to have a crystal on my calipers again!
