Once attached to a plate of float glass or granite reference stone this is ideal for final honing of cutting edges. Results is a highly polished surface capable of literally splitting hairs. I used a little lapping fluid to make sure the swarf dosent clog up the film.

I was using this for lapping knives. I got OK results, probably would be better if I were more skilled. It stuck well to the flat tile I used, but after applying water it came loose. Once it dried it was stuck fast again. It did not come loose during use, but after.

This is an extraordinarily fine abrasive; in fact, on receiving it I though it was coated with a protective plastic film-it's not. It's just that fine.While I can't confirm it's actually diamond coated, I CAN confirm it cuts hardened steel knife blades like butter; based on decades of using almost every type of abrasive sheet, belt and wheel, it sure acts like diamond.If you're looking at this, you no double have a very specialized use in mind; if you're after a VERY fine abrasive that won't blink at hardened steels or catalyzed poly coatings, this is your ticket.

Using this to polish some of my artwork that I have cleared in an oil based enamel. I use this for wet polishing and it works well for that, not sure on its dry capabilities.
