STEP 1: Put the battery in.
STEP 2: Turn on the switch.Make sure only 1 light is lighting up on the scale. Make sure the “Ready Lamp”Light on.
STEP 3: Turn on the lights number corresponding to the indoor temperature and diamond weight.
STEP 4: When testing diamond, your index finger must keep touching the mmetal panel on the back of the tester. The probe is 90 degrees vertical to the diamond.
- Agate
If the monitor is real agate, the indicator light of the instrument will reach about 7.
- Jade
If the monitoring is real jade, then the indicator light of the instrument will reach 6/7.
- Crystal
If the monitor is a real crystal, the indicator light of the instrument will reach 7/8.
- Diamond
If the monitor is a real diamond, the indicator light of the instrument will reach above 9, and it will be accompanied by a beeping sound.

Wanted a tester to put in my purse when thrifting but didn’t want to risk it with my expensive one. Purchased this and works just as good for a fraction of the price. Very easy to use and very accurate. The quality is very nice and comes with a bag that protects the tip. Beep works just as it should.

Love it! Works absolutely perfect. It saved me from being scammed. When I received a ring I ordered i immediately had a funny feeling just by the color and clarity of the ring..So I immediately purchased this for 9.00 i think..Shipping was quick. I tested the diamond or should I say CZ ring! Sure enough they never expected someone to test it i guess. Tried it on different jewelry just to make sure I was doing it right. I was given my money back on the scammer ring and I purchased another from another company and I could instantly see the difference. Sure enough I tested it, and it immediately read positive. I would recommend.

Took it out of the box put the battery in, follow the instructions however, all the thing did was beep even with the cover on and the price point is perfect not to send it back. Don’t waste your money.

Easy enough to use, all you can rely upon it to do accurately is to weed out any glass or crystal stones (2-4 range). A good CZ reads an 8 or 9, while a diamond reads usually the same. Without any carbon inclusions, there’s no way for an amateur like me to tell the difference between the two while using this.Glad it was cheap.

I have some diamonds, zirconia and Swarovskis. I wanted to verify that my diamond jewelries are what I was told. This device did verify that all the diamonds are what they are. Make sure to put the indicator on bar 4. If it's a diamond, the bar will go up to the red and beep. If not, it will stay on bar 4. Batteries are NOT INCLUDED so make sure you get a 9v battery. Also, take off the cap on the tip before using.
