I watched the videos, read the directions, and read the reviews. In the reviews that weren't positive, it seems the directions weren't followed correctly...what did those people expect? Over the period of a few days, I completed this project with the help of my 15 year old daughter. We set out to do this in 1 day. If we didn't live in South Florida, it would have been possible, but our humid weather affects drying and curing. We did this in November when our weather was far less humid than in the summer. We got the 28' trailer covered, roof cleaned, and 2 coats of roof coating completed within 1 day. Finished by about 4pm. The following day, the roof was still a little sticky. Dry to the touch, but sticky if I walked on it. After a couple days, it fully cured. We wanted a 3rd coat to even out a few areas and because we still had enough product to complete another coat. 4 days after, I swept off the roof and applied the 3rd coat. It was fully dry and cured by the following day. This coating covers the rubber roof well and I believe will stop that weird white/black streaky stuff that runs down the trailer and creates the streaks. Be sure to fully cover the sides of your trailer before cleaning. We used a roll of visqueen and frog tape from Home Depot. Lots of yuck comes off the roof. I didn't have a pressure cleaner to use on the roof, so I scrubbed it with a long-handled brush and a high powered hose attachment after letting the cleaner/activator sit for about 30 minutes. A little of the crud washed off the roof seeped through our covering, but not bad. After rising and rerinsing and then rinsing some more, we pulled off all the plastic covering and rinsed the sides at the roof dried. Tedious process, many trips up and down the ladder, but not difficult to use and performs as desribed. We used 2 gallons for a 28' trailer.

The result is very good. Follow the directions. For me the signature Extended Life product covered well and more square feet then advertised. After the cleaner activator (set 25 minutes) using a pressure washer is a very good idea. I got dirt and loose material could not see. I thought the roof was pretty clean when I started. You need two coats of the signature Extended life for good coverage. I brushed and rolled the signature material on. The material flows thicker than paint. Cover your trailer for the entire process. Put the tape to hold up the cover just below the trailer gutter or the cleaner will make it come loose. We had to tape it up twice. The whole process is a lot of work. Did complete it in one day with two people. We cut in the edges and the vents and skylights, and AC with a brush and rolled the flat surfaces. We poured the material right onto the roof when rolling. One person rolling and the other pouring material where the roller requested & this is a good approach. Product looks good and seems like it will stay stuck to the roof and hold up well. Says you can clean your tools with soap and water. That did not work for me. To the trash the bushes and rollers went. Satisfied. More cost effective than hiring it done and we followed the directions. Anyone can do this.

Good product. My 5th wheel roof was in bad shape. 12 year old trailer uncovered parked next to house.I worked cleaning roof two hours per day for three days in the early am due to 102+ degree heat. On the 4th day I sprayed the cleaner activator with a new garden sprayer and pressure washed it off after waiting a half hour. There was still a lot of crud on the roof. I ordered more activator and then on my hands and knees I used a small hand held spray bottle. I waited another half hour and pressure washed again. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and was never happy with how clean the roof looked. After the roof was dry I recoated the roof in three coats of the rubber roof coating. Due to the high heat the coating was trying to dry in the roller pan so there are a few lumps ( not many ) on the roof. Roof is now a bright white and looks like new except where I got some of the coating an the AC lower cover. One thing.....Watch the Dicor Video on the internet, install the plastic sheeting, it protects the trailer sides. The video does not warn you of the mess around the trailer the old coating creates. Took hours to clean that up as well. Be advised, This was a bitch of a job ( I'm 73 } no fun at all, but had to be done. As soon as I'm sure the roof has dried thoroughly I intend to cover it with Dicor protective coating. My wife and I are traveling to the Midwest in September so I'm hoping I did it right and it holds up well.

This product was used on an original 2005 Fleetwood Fifth Wheel rubber roof that was in pretty bad shape. Overall, this product worked amazingly! Prep and application are very straight forward, as detailed on the can (also watch YouTube Video-RV Rubber Roof Coating System by Dicor. My only challenge was to get it all done in one day- Applied on a fall day and time to complete was close to ensure enough light remained in the day. Make sure you start as early as possible to ensure you get the 2 coats down. The product applied easier than painting the walls of a room. I did not notice a strong smell and the flow and coverage was really good not sticky- used a roller and paint brush as needed.I ended up purchasing 3 gallons for my 30 ft rig. Two gallons may have sufficed but I ended up applying the 3rd coat the next day-probably overkill, but worth it to me as this roof did not have much left on it and it gave me peace of mind. At the end of the project, I found that the roof looked almost new. I did not notice any cracks or lesions in the roof as the material covered them very well. This product will not solve any issues with roof edges lifting-I used EternaBond Roof Seal Sealant Tape to tackle and concur the edges. This product worked really well, better than I expected and saved me from replacing my roof.

I resurfaced the roof of my 12 year old travel trailer, and the results are remarkable. It's like a whole new roof. The application isn't very challenging, the directions are clear, and there are helpful Youtube videos available that explain it very well. What's tough is that you need to cover all sides of the trailer in plastic first or the step 1 cleaning product will stain - this is true. I would also advise having a hose ready to wash your driveway after you rinse off step 1, I did this to avoid staining and it worked well. You also need a couple of hot sunny days with no rain in the forecast, since they recommend a lot of direct sunlight before the product is exposed to moisture for proper curing. We'll see how it holds up over time, but the finished product feels pretty solid. IMPORTANT: This is step 2 of a two part application, make sure you use step 1 as well or it won't bond.
