This UIUZMAR truncheon is much more accurate than the more expensive one I was using that did not have a backlit LCD display like this one does. I am using it in a variety of hydroponic systems in a home setting. The different measurements it will read are as follows:EC: from 0.01-6.00mS/cmPPM500: from 0-3000ppmPPM700: from 0-4200ppmCF: from 0.0-60.0These accurate readings will be on the backlit LCD display and in rounded numbers on the wand itself. There will be a small lit red square LCD on the corresponding range on the wand.Having the water temp on the display is very useful and the range is 32.0°F-122.0°F or 0.0°C-50.0°C. You can toggle between F and C by holding the hold/temp button for 5 seconds.The reading is immediate after placing it in the nutrient water and pressing the “on†button once. To turn it off just press the “on†button again.To toggle between CF, PPM500, PPM700 and mS/EC keep pressing the mode/cal button until it displays the type of reading you want.If you want to take a reading of the nutrient water but are unable to see the display due to angles or lighting press the hold/temp button once and it will HOLD the reading when you pull it out of the water. If you don’t press HOLD it will decrease to 0 when you take it out of the water.This truncheon is convenient for mixing your nutrients or PH UP or DOWN in the water reservoir.It also comes with an easy to read laminated user manual. I definitely appreciate the fact that it will not get ruined by water getting on it in a hydroponic setting.There is a small bottle of a calibration solution included in the box but it comes already calibrated from the factory. If you need to ever calibrate it there are instructions in the user manual.There are 4 LR44 button cell batteries powering the truncheon and can be changed out by unscrewing the green cap on top.Overall this device is very user friendly and not difficult to use once you read the user manual.I am very satisfied with the quality and design of the UIUZMAR truncheon nutrient meter.

This is a great tester for my hydroponics setup. It is long enough to fit down into tank and get easy quick readings for mixing and maintenance. It also works to help stir when needed and is a great design that cuts out a lot of time using smaller slower meters. I highly recommend, so far it has been great quality and working well.

I'm really silly new to hydroponic plant growing, I have a small batch of kratkey style pots, and have been experimenting with different types of plants. I have some lettuce going, a bachelor button, and some sunflowers currently. The sunflowers didn't seem to be super happy, though they were using up quite a bit of the water every week. I couldn't figure out what was going on until I tried this meter today and found that the CF was a lot higher than it should have been. it was above three, which more than likely explains the chip burn and stress I've been seeing on the leaves. I added some additional plain tap water and got the CF down to about 2 and I'm hopeful that this will encourage more growth and eventually flowering.

I ordered this digital water tester for my sister-in-law to test her two water systems. She has an aquaponics system with fish and a hydroponics system. She stated that the meter is very easy to read, and she likes the longer length to reach down to the bottom of her tanks. The battery life is great too. She is very happy with this tester as it saves her time and money in not using more fertilizer than needed for her plants.

Pas étonnant que la notice en français parle de "matraque" pour qualifier ce testeur d'électro-conductivité car il est vraiment très long, tellement long qu'il faut assembler les deux parties, l'électronique et le manche avec les capteurs au bout.Mais du coup, il s'avère très pratique pour préparer un seau d'engrais (ou mesurer le fond d'un réservoir, les sels ayant plus de chance de s'accumuler au fond du réservoir de recirculation en hydroponie), car la limite d'immersion arrive pile à la hauteur de l'eau quand il repose au fond et sert de mélangeur (c'est un seau de 20L, mais remplis qu'à 18L).Le testeur arrive étalonné d'usine et est livré avec une solution de calibration 1413μS/cm ainsi qu'un joint torique de spare.Les valeurs affichées sont cohérentes avec mes autres sondes (du moins les modèles sérieux qui ajustent la valeur en fonction de la température).

Ho preso questo misuratore per il mio acquario perché volevo monitorare meglio la qualità dell’acqua e assicurarmi che tutto fosse sempre perfetto per i miei pesci e per le piante acquatiche. Prima dovevo fare diverse misurazioni manuali, ma ora riesco a controllare tutto in pochi secondi. Vista l’asta lunga posso fare misurazioni anche in prossimità del fondo e smuovere l’acqua senza problemi.Il dispositivo è intuitivo e pratico da usare. Basta immergere la punta nell’acqua, e in pochi istanti fornisce una misura precisa del TDS. Gli indicatori luminosi sull’asta sono particolarmente utili, perché rendono le letture immediate e facili da interpretare anche a colpo d’occhio.Oltre a controllare i parametri dell’acqua, lo trovo utile anche per mescolarla e assicurare una distribuzione uniforme dei sali e dei nutrienti dopo i cambi d’acqua. È abbastanza resistente e maneggevole da essere utilizzato frequentemente senza problemi. La struttura robusta dà l’idea di un prodotto progettato per durare nel tempo, anche in un ambiente umido come quello di un acquario.Onestamente un misuratore di alta qualità che mi ha lasciato davvero a bocca aperta.
