Love this thing so far. Was curious if my fridge and freezer were at the right temperature. I had some cheap thermometers that were giving me inconsistent readings. I love that this has an alarm (my kids have accidentally left the freezer open overnight and we have had to throw out food). I also love that it shows the minimum and maximum temperatures they have gotten to in 24 hours. Also, love the fact it doesn’t need to use WiFi. The only thing that could make it better is magnets for the back so it can stick to the actual fridge but I’m unsure if that would interfere with anything. For now it just sits next to the fridge until I can figure out a better place for it.

This thermometer took a little bit to adjust to the fridge temperatures, but when it did I found it to be very accurate. I checked it with some others I had and it has maintained temps perfectly. That is why is got 5*.What I did not like was it only takes AAA batteries and not a larger battery. It also, does not have a magnet for mounting. I used 3M removable velcro on the fridge and back of the main module to mount. No big thing.

I have a separate deep freezer unit and it normally stays at -20 F. A freezer unit in a home fridge goes down to maybe -5 F. The temp alarm unit worked on a home freezer compartment but battery life was affected by low temperatures. I measured with a multimeter after 48 hours.Unfortunately, the battery compartment did pick up a bit of condensation because there was no attempt to make it water resistant. My batteries died within 48 hours in the deep freeze. I know -20 F is a harsh environment for batteries but who wants to change batteries more than two or three times a year? I did try this with some brand new super heavy duty Duracell batteries so I think it truly is just a harsh environment for AAA batteries.Another issue is the heavy insulation of deep freezers which did affect the range of the control head. Careful placement was needed to maintain a link.I think it is appropriate for home fridge freezer compartments but not for deep freezers.

I'm using this in my RV travel trailer fridge/freezer and love being able to see what temperatures both have. Temps appear to be accurate. Great temp reader at a reasonable price.

Update on 2/27/25: still works. But both senders placed side-by-side in a freezer section shows 0.5 - 0.6 degree difference. 1 star down. Will update later.Works fine for a week. Temperature shown consistent with the dial thermometers placed next to senders. Will update later. One thing - it would be great if it has a magnetic back to place it on a refrigerators’ door.

I bought a thermometer with wire from inside freezer to sending unit outside (never buy one like that). It wouldn't send to receiver across garage in my den. This unit sent to receiver across garage with no problem. I love this thermometer.

It's pretty nice to be able to see the temps of both the refer and the freezer without opening the doors or having to swap spots from one to the other.

Set this thermometer up to monitor an older refrigerator that has served my family well. The display is easy to read and the hi/low monitoring display allows 12-24-"all time" periods. It looks like it is well made.
