I thought the other reviews about the chair being noisy or squeaky were being dramatic but that was something I noticed on our first long road trip. It isn’t all the time, just on rougher roads or if the seat rocks back and forth. Minor inconvenience and my child really likes the comfort and size. I love the flexibility of sizes and install is a breeze. Cup holder is a bit small and my kids bottles don’t fit very well. The only other thing I would have liked to see is more modern anchor connectors. The are the older style which is extreme difficult to remove on some newer cars like mine.

I have spent about $1000 in car seats over the past 7 years.My son was a 9lb baby and shrieked to high hell when he was placed in his infant car seat. By the time he was 3 months, I switched him into a Primo Viaggio Convertible. Then 3 years, he was switched to a Britax Pinnacle G2.1, top of the line. We were t-boned by a person looking at their phone while driving and so the Britax was replaced by a Chicco MyFit Harness LE.My son is always in the 100 percentile range. He's tall and wide. The MyFit was no longer cutting it at 6 years old. The back is cut slim and my son kept moving side to side or leaning forward to get comfortable. In comes the Diono.The Diono is adjustable both ways. I have it set at the widest and my son sits back and the seat hugs him. He is very comfortable and I feel he may be able to stay in this seat till about 9-10. He is 7 now and we took our time writing this review, we have had the seat for over 3 months now and my 5 year old daughter can't wait to get one of her own. She loves sitting in her brothers seat, it's a throne to them.This seat is huge. We have a Honda Pilot and eventually the sister will get a Diono as well. So you need to have the space for this giant car seat.Alot of reviews said this seat has no plush. This is correct.This is no frills but the age this seat caters to no longer cares for plush, they want comfort and fit. My son loves his seat and I'm glad I found this.I highly recommend this seat, Amazon gives a 3 month return window on this item, so if your child isn't happy, just return it.

This is a very nice booster....well made, fairly light weight but sturdy, easy to put the back on / off, seems comfortable to my granddaughter. I'm happy with it. There are 2 negatives: the seat could use more cushioning if used for longer trips, but this is easy to address by adding some foam under the seat cover, which is easy to do. The second is that it is quite wide even before you expand it as your child grows. I use it mostly in my BMW X5 SUV and it will be tight at the shoulders to get this chair plus 2 people across the back seat....possible, but not real comfortable for any distance. If you never put 2 other people back there with the chair, no problem. Oh and for those reviews that say the back seperates from the seat very easily when you pick it up.....that is not my experience. If you pick it up with one hand under the seat and one hand on the back..the natural approach, I think....no problem at all.

My 5 year old is husky and about 75 pounds. He enjoys this car seat because all the cushions surrounding him, makes him feel safer and I couldn’t agree more! Car naps are much easier and comfortable now.

This is a great car seat. I like the adjustable sides to ensure the right protection and the latch straps are so easy to tighten and loosen. The cup holders slide out of the base so they aren't in the way of able to fall off. It's a bit heavy because it's high quality.

Love this carseat. Bought it for our 5 year old after he said his other Diono carseat was no longer comfy since it had the 5point harness. Love how easy it is to raise thr head piece and widen it as they grow without even having to take it out of the car.

My Pacifica took on a '08 Suburban that hit the side/rear where my daughters sit. My oldest took the brunt of the hit. Both of my older girls are in these diono booster seats. They did not have a single scratch on them and were kept safe. I thought I was going overboard with high back boosters but now I'm so glad my babies were in these. My god we are so lucky. I've already ordered two more of these as our replacements. Highly recommend.

I loved this seat! I felt my child was very safe in it because it has some of the highest crash test ratings. I also loved that this seat was the last seat we would need to buy for this kid.Unfortunately, the seat went into the trash bin after 13 months.If you buy this seat, be sure to check it frequently to ensure that the top and bottom parts are attached and your child isn’t riding in a broken seat. I think all that rattling and noise everyone is hearing is actually the seat falling apart. Our seat broke after 13 months of basic and proper use. I only discovered the hinge was broken after removing the car seat to clean out the vehicle. You will know that it’s broken if the high back booster part will not stay in an upright position without the support of your vehicle's seat.Diono’s customer support was not supportive because the seat was a month out of warranty and the hinge showed “minor stress†(from being used?) Apparently the hinge on this seat “isn’t sturdy to begin with.†🚩I asked the Diono rep to report our experience to the appropriate safety department, but I never received any verification of that, hence the review. Check the seat! I really would’ve never known there was an issue if I hadn’t uninstalled it to clean. It just made noise.

Es cómoda mi hija de casi 5 años está feliz solo que si es más ancha que otras y si se arruga un poco la tela de la parte de arriba creo que eso es defecto de fabricación pero la silla bien la siento muy segura.Lo malo es que al dormirse cabecea hacia adelante y con la silla de más chiquita estaba más inclinada.

This booster as a slightly higher price than some competitors. However I believe it is well worth the money. Super easy to install and to adjust! My daugther is quite tall for her age and I was afraid I wouldn't find a seat that can get her the security and the confort for longer rides. But we have been using this seat for nearly a month now and we are greatly satisfied! Would buy again without hesitation.
