I use distilled water in the tank, but I also use a spray bottle with dawn, Vinger and water to spray the floor. I absolutely love this Dirt Devil Steam Mop, Cleaner for Sealed Hard Floors, I have all hard wood floors and could never seem to get them really clean, UNTIL I bought this steam mop. It was easy to assemble and heated up very quickly. The steam is powerful and does a great job. The floor is just barely damp and dries in a minute. Yes, I recommend the Dirt Devil Steam Mop, Cleaner for Sealed Hard Floors.

I like the smaller water reservoir. Whole item is way smaller than my other one, which was a diff make. The push on pull off pad is super cool. I think with any steamer, it will be harder to move around, due to the steam! So, get over that!!!! I had enough water for kitchen, entry hall, front door stoup and around my dining area rug. For me, it's a fast when ever I need that quick steam!

Where has this been all my life? I haven’t heard the name Dirt Devil since I was a kid. But when looking for a better solution to cleaning my hard floors, steam mops, and Dirt Devil in particular came up. I am in LOVE with this steam mop! I love that steam naturally disinfects without the need for harsh chemicals. This was incredibly easy to snap together and get going. You turn it on and it’s ready to go almost instantly. I use the Dirt Devil steam water solution and it smells heavenly, stains and dried stuff on the floor that I would normally have to kill myself scrubbing came right up with ease. The pad is very easy to take on and off. And a breeze to take off and wash when you’re done for reuse so there is no tone of unnecessary waste. And you would not believe the amount of dirt left behind by a traditional mop this thing picked up. I was flabbergasted after using it on what I thought were mostly clean floors. It doesn’t leave the floor wet to have to dry for long periods of time. It dries relatively quick and my floors have never felt better under my feet. Easy to fill. No over complicated settings. And it doesn’t hurt that it looks fantastic. It’s an AMAZING deal for an amazing product that works better than some of the expensive models my friends have and for a quarter of the price. Because of this machine, I will be ordering the Dirt Devil spot cleaner and vacuum!

Works great! Happy with performance so far (used 4 times). I vacuum then wet swiffer the floors first. The steamer pad still gets up what what missed. Pad cleans up nicely by hand or machine wash. I let it air dry. Cord length is adequate (one of my concerns when looking into a steam mop). The swivel head works well too. I like that it stands on it's own without needing to rest on the wall to remain upright. On off switch and steam control setting (low/med/high). Serves it's purpose well on my vinyl plank and hard laminate flooring. I did notice it leaves streaks on the laminate but not enough to concern me as the purpose is for the floors to be clean and sanitized. I just use distilled water or equivalent to avoid mineral deposits. I do wish it was a tad bit taller as I'm over 5'9" but still comfortable to use.

Quit working before I ever got to use it. I think it came broken. Had to return immediately.

I already owned the Shark S1000 and was disappointed, not enough steam, long warmup time. This Dirt Devil warms up quickly and makes ABUNDANT steam! It feels heavier too, like it's made more of metal than plastic.

Works pretty good, but you have to keep refilling the reservoir. other than that, it's light and easy to use. It does not auto-shut-off when you put it in the upright position, so be careful to turn it ff if you have to walk away. It doesn't take long to reheat.

I’ve wanted a steam floor cleaner for a long time and found it difficult to decide among the many avail. I wasn’t sure if I wanted the multipurpose ones w the detachable features but ultimately decided on keeping it simple w this model as well as the thought that it’s a reputable brand. The heat up time is less than 10 seconds and makes cleaning and sanitizing the floor so satisfying. The outlet cord is a nice size for bigger spaces and wraps up nicely within itself for a convenient and compact storage. Slow and steady is the name of the game w floor steamers, at least in my opinion.Note: this does require the use of distilled water and nothing else but does have the option to order steam floor liquids that just makes the floor smell nicer when using from the same brand and a small sample is included w this product.

I need this for laminate floors that show every footstep in the lighting- works very well. Pads wash up easily

The thing does not work. It heats up, then just makes clicking sounds but produces no steam. After one minute of this it shuts itself off. I tried following the instructions to clear a possible clog, but that was not it. Cheap thing. Not worth my time or money!

I used this for the first time at a cottage and was impressed. I ordered it on the spot. Easy to easy to assemble and heats up quite quickly. Streak free and works on any type of floors.

My Bissell died last week, just shy of the two-year mark. It was out of warranty and repair would cost about as much as a new one. Sadly, cloth mops just don’t clean as well as a steam cleaner, and this one was half the price of a Bissell, so why not?Know what? I like it. Its appearance is more streamlined than the Bissell, its cord is really long (extra points for that), it’s easy to move around, and it spits out a lot of steam. The reservoir is small, which is a bit annoying, but you can move past that. The scented cleaner that came with it is far less offensive than those god-awful discs that Bissell sent with theirs (for the love of god, stop with the noxious chemical fumes already). I saw a few post-cleaning streaks when I first used it, but after cleaning the mop pads and using only water, the streaks are gone.So far, so good. I’m giving it a four for now since I don’t know how long it’ll last, but if it goes even a few months longer than the Bissell it’ll be 5+++.

I thought it would get out the ground in dirt since my tiles are not very smooth... So I must spray stuff on the tiles first let it sit... And then steam clean 😠I guess I don't know the meaning of a steem cleaner 🫢😀😃😂
