This product was starting to break before I even attached it to my two piece golf cart windshield. The flexible plastic seam is not very strong, even though clip edges seemed to be strong enough, but not an easy task to attach. Says in the product description that product use included golf carts, but not a reliable replacement for a golf cart window folding seam. Will not by again and going to try to return it.

I have a bunch of tanks and glass lids. The hinges are all going to fail eventually. So I thought I would try these and see how they worked. I used the first one on a 36" tank and it worked perfectly. there was a slight chip on the read glass so I spun it around and put the chipped part inside the hinge worked great. I have a couple of ten gallons that needed a new hinge also and so I cut one of the 36" in half and used one on each side. There is a 1/2" opening on each side but the hinge is new. Now I have one left for the next fail. It is a great solution unless the glass is damaged.

I hope these last a while. They do look nice, and I have functional hinges again on three sets of aquarium tops. But they are challenging to install on 1/8 glass and *extremely* challenging to install on 3/16. I managed to replace two full length hinges on 3/16 and one on 1/8 glass. Considering trying another product for one remaining 1/8 top rather than just ordering another batch of these. If I have to replace the hinges again any time soon I'll definitely be searching for alternatives.

These hinges fit VERY tightly to the glass panels of an aquarium top. They fit so tightly, you can’t just start on one end and slide the hinge into place. Thankfully, I drafted my husband the engineer, and with his stronger hands and engineering instincts, he was able to get the hinge in place without breaking either glass panel in the process. Once installed, the hinges work perfectly.

They are really hard to put on, I think I am going to return them.
