We have another brand of these chicken feeder ports and have been pleased with them. When one of our hens decided to hatch out some baby chicks for us, we realized we needed another feeder bucket so they wouldn't be crowded. The ones we ordered before are no longer available, so we decided to try these. They are much larger and at first my husband wasn't sure they would fit very well on a round bucket. But they do and even the little chicks can eat out of them. They do scatter some feed around, but that's just what chickens do! Having the hole saw made the project very easy. We have them in a 5 gallon bucket, which holds enough feed to last a while. These also came with covers so you can close the ports off. We have trouble with mice from time to time, so that might come in handy if we need to close up the ports at night to keep them out. All in all, we highly recommend these!

I thought this was very easy to use and kept the feed dry. However, my chickens didn’t seem to use it as much as other feeders. My chickens prefer to see the food.

Bought these and a Five Gallon Bucket. We can fill the 5 gallon bucket with feed and not worry about it for 5 days. These are awesome and easy to install in the bucket!

Very easy to set up and happy so far with this kit. Came with everything needed to use with a 5 gallon food grade bucket with water tight, snap- tight fitting lid that I bought at Tractor Supply. The bucket with feeder kit installed is kept under the cover of a roof in the run, sheltered from rain. My 6 week old pullets figured out how to use it right away, no issues whatsoever. I love that it comes with plug caps to plug it up at night to stop rodents from eating the feed. Yes, there’s going to be some spillage because chickens are messy and they do push some feed out onto the ground. This is no big deal to me, as the main reason I purchased the kit was so I could fill a 5 gallon bucket and if I have to go away for a couple days, I know my chickens have plenty of fresh, dry feed to eat. I’ve been plugging the holes an hour or 2 before the girls head up to coop to roost, so they only have whatever feed they’ve spilled on the ground left to eat, and they tend to clean most of it up.

All you need to know is I feed my chickens about every 1-2 weeks now. Every couple days I sprinkle some dried bugs in the cage, and of course, give them water. Other than that chickens are breeze. What a genius invention.w

So functional and easy to set up I got another set so the ladies have more dinning options :) The kit comes with a custom hole saw piece to attach to your drill so you can quickly cut out the right size to fit in the feeder ports onto any container you wish to use! So easy! Set up in less than 5 mins. The chickens figured it out in minutes and I now have a feeder that holds a full bag of feed that has much less waste and won’t get rained on or need to be filled often! Super happy with this purchase :)

Hello,I bought these feeder ports for our new chickens. They work great, however you need to choose the container with great specificity. We first tried a larger container, but the chickens couldn't get to the food at the back of the container. After we installed a couple of these, the chickens were able to get it all. Also, the taller the container the better as sometimes the food can get stuck if its wet, and isn't retrievable by the chickens.
