I'd been looking for a crossbar to add to my speaker stand tripods to convert them into stage lighting stands. One of the best investments a working band can make is some basic stage lighting, and so I've been putting together a kit with some par lights, wash bars and the like. Two of these crossbars will complete the setup. Typically you can expect to pay up to twice this amount for a crossbar half this sturdy.The crossbar is square steel as opposed to light tubing. This means that your lights will never ever slide around the crossbar tubing and end up all pointing at the floor. The downtube that clamps to the top of the speaker stand has a swivel handle so that you can get it secure. There's so much space on this bar. If you use top and bottoms of all the attachments, you might be able to squeeze eight par lights on this bad boy, and it will definitely handle the weight with ease. It assembled easily and can probably fit in your stand bag along with the tripods.My only (very minor) gripes are that there are no security clips for the lights (buy some!) and there are no extra washers or wingnuts. There should be; everything is black and on dark painted stages and during teardowns, you are inevitably going to lose some of these pieces. Both easily remedied by a trip to the hardware store.Why are you still reading my review? Order a couple of these right now.

This is exactly what I was looking for. This is just a basic T bar that allows you to adapt a standard speaker stand into a light stand and it works great! It is very heavy duty and built tough. While not super wide, I think this is to keep it sturdy. When you add lights, you will quickly find that it can get off kilter and if it were any wider would be more probable of tipping over. As is, it held the 2 pars I needed and were spaced well although it can hold twice that many lights (up to 5 lights). I really could use 2 of these so I can put them on both sides of a portable stage and i'll really have a quick tear down rig. At just under $30 and the fact that I have another spare speaker stand, it's a worthy investment if you need a quick portable solution to get some lights off the ground.

I’ve been using this DJ Lighting T-Bar for a few days now, and overall, it serves its purpose well. I needed something to support multiple stage lights for a small event setup, and this crossbar worked without any issues. It feels sturdy and was easy to assemble onto my existing tripod stand.The length of 38 inches is enough for a few lights without overcrowding, and the ability to hold up to 60 lbs gave me confidence that it wouldn’t buckle under the weight of my PAR lights. One thing I appreciated was that the bar didn’t wobble or sag, even when fully loaded.That being said, it’s worth noting that this is only the extension bar, so you’ll need your own tripod stand (I had mine, so it wasn’t an issue). For those expecting something heavy-duty, it’s sturdy but not the thick, super-industrial type.If you’re looking for a portable lighting solution that’s straightforward to use and easy to handle, this is a solid option. It’s not flashy, but it gets the job done.

I got this bar because I started doing some streaming at my computer recently and the light situation was pretty dire. I had some good lights already, but I was having a lot of trouble getting them positioned well. I simply mounted this bar a few feet above my monitor and now I have a nice easy spot to connect whichever lights I need.

Been looking for a small, portable light bar, and this does the trick. It's solid, it's sturdy, it's durable, and I don't worry that it's going to drop my lights from some sort of structural failure. Fits my tripod well, and is interchangeable with many others. I am digging this!
