Chunky but good. The stand itself could hold more weight than probably the tray. But the plastic bracket is beefy. I hear they've changed the design. So be careful as you may not get what's pictured If you're looking to match one that you had in the past. I did have the first one come damaged but they quickly replaced it.

Compared with similar stands, this one features a steel tray with removable high density foam pad, and the tripod structure is indeed heavy-duty. All the other ones I've looked at have flimsy tripods and plastic trays. I bought this one and the Pyle and this is the one I would trust with my laptop or Spark practice amp. It would probably even serve well as a stand for (each one of) a pair of 8" audio studio monitors. None of the other stands rated for laptops and projectors are heavy-duty enough to do that, and at twice the price of this unit. This is the only one I found that even offered a weight capacity. I liked it so much I bought another one.

Very portable and easy to put together. The only complaint I have is that the top tray where you put your laptop/projector or whatever you’re using it for is really loose even when the screw is tightened all the way down. Just don’t bump it or anything and it will stay straight. Besides that it works great.

This thing is built sturdy! I have one for a sony bookshelf speaker and another as a bedside table for my remote and such. I ordered one for my sister who uses it to hold an air purifier. The tray does NOT tilt so if you need that, keep looking. I plan on ordering another for a stand for a fan by my bedroom window. They claim the tray can hold 50# and I believe them! Plus it's probably the cheapest priced one out there!

I purchased this to use with my Zhummel Z-100 tabletop telescope and this works perfectly. I can adjust the height so I can use the scope while standing.The stand is sturdy and easy to assemble (when I need it) and take down (when I am done)I also have a projector that I use for outdoor movie nights. I think it will work well with that as well.Very pleased with this purchase.

Bought several stands for the purpose of housing my projector for movie nights. The first one I bought was very sturdy and may have been worth keeping but the minimum height was too high, the 2nd one had better minimum height but the tray was cheap material and I didn't feel comfortable having my expensive projector on there. This one was a combination of the first 2. Sturdy tray and just right height range for my needs.

I've purchased a couple other table stands like this from different brands but this one was less expensive yet far heavier duty. It is easier to set up and feels like it will last a long time!I'm very impressed with it.

Love this stand, BUT I wish it could be raised to 41" as described on Amazon. Only rises to 33", which isn't high enough for my purposes. I reached out for support 3 days ago via Amazon and haven't heard back so far...

Great stand at a great price. We use it to hold our laptop and watch videos while exercising. Just right for our needs. Well made and sturdy.

IMO this is pretty good value for the price - I use this to place my laptop next to my drum kit for practice. The powder coating is nice, and although the fake-leather cover on the tray is a little thin it does the job.
