Purchased in: 2014.Bought for: My Dad, as a part of his Father's Day gift that went with his crossbow.Pros: Works as described. My Dad says it is quality made, and long enough for the crossbow.Cons: No cons at this time.Overall: I liked this purchase. It was an affordable purchase, that went great with my Dad's crossbow gift. It is way better quality than what came with the crossbow.Shipping/Handling: The item arrived on time, in new condition, and with no problems. Thank you.

this crossbow string is a good replacement for any crossbow string. this is being made in china which im sure its not so strong and durable but if you are looking for a cheaper item then this is it... actually i have not tested yet but im sure it is good as a back up replacement if anything goes wrong to the first one...the shipping is fast...

This is the second crossbow string I have ordered from this company. I recieved the first a month or so ago and liked it. The string does not come waxed and the first thing you should do after stringing the bow is to wax the string. The string seems to be well made and the windings are tight on the new strings. My old string came with the crossbow that was given to me. The string on the crossbow was never waxed and has started coming apart. I have no idea how old this thing is or the conditions of it use. I am hoping that after I rebuild the bow I'll have a bow that works to practice with. I am also researching a new string from Arrow Precision Blitz II String (16.5-Inch). Both strings are 16.5 inches long and the Blitz string is the proper weight. I think the Blitz string is thiner and would be faster. The Blitz string is also $35 with shipping. Until then I will use these less expencive but good quality strings. I am happy with my purchase and would buy more from this vender if I need them.

Keeping at least one of these being available is a good idea, as there are a few things that tend to damage strings, such as the nocks on cheap bolts not being properly positioned. This almost automatically causes a dry-fire event, that is very hard on everything.

The string is ok but it falls apart after a few shots. The part where the arrow touches is just wrapped around with a knot at each end and shreds fast. I bought some "550" paracord and I'm going to use that instead. I payed $4.00 for 100 feet and it's 5 times stronger. What I suggest is take the old string and use it as a base for length. Take the inner cord and use it as a tie cord. Wrap the ends several times in a looping knot, then do the same thing with the center where the arrow sits. That way it can't unravel after a few shots and it will only take a few minutes. Use the same loop knot that is used for friendship bracelets, I don't know what it's called but it is a strong knot.

Ordered as a backup, in case i have a string snap while hunting. Arrived early, easy to see without installing it is the right size and of good quality. Will need to be waxed before use.

After purchasing a 150 lb crossbow package from Amazon for about $120 the string that came with it only lasted about 30-40 shots before is unraveled. This replacement string that I got today is the same string exact string that initially came with the crossbow package. It only lasted 5 shots before it tore in half, luckily no one got hurt.
