First time I've purchased monk's cloth online. Same quality of that I've purchased at our local craft store in the past. Washed and dryed well. Perfect cloth for your favorite swedish weaving pattern. Would purchase again.

I have never tried to make a Monk's cloth blanket before so I tried as best as I could to find cloth that would work well and last. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this! It is very soft and pliable which is, of course, how one wants the final project to come out. I will buy this one again when needed!

Before purchasing this cloth, I did my homework - and am very glad that I did!!!Monk's cloth shrinks - a LOT - and you do have to "prep" the fabric with either a straight or zigzag stitch the cut edges prior to washing. Although it is a very open and loose weave, I've not found it to have any more (or less) flaws than other fabric.Within the space of three weeks, I have woven a table runner and three pillow tops.........and my next project will most likely be a baby afghan. This fabric works up SOOOO fast, and (depending on the pattern chosen) is quite easy - particularly if you are acquainted with counted cross-stitch.As for the quality: I did a side-by-side comparison of this DMC and monk's cloth carried on-the-bolt at JoAnn's. HUGE difference in quality!!! It's cheaper, and the reason is very obvious: It's terrible, TERRIBLE fabric!!One final note (and the reason for 4-stars): This exact item is MUCH cheaper at Jo-Ann's.......................

This is the first product I bought from this seller, and I must say I was quite happy. I have made 8 Swedish Weave Afgahan and this is the first time, I didn't have to even the edge out. I Only took two rows out so I could have a fringe at the bottom and top. I will purchase from this seller again, in the hopes that the next one will be same. Thank you.

Got this for my mom, who makes Swedish Embroidery afghans with it. She wanted the off-white but had to settle for the white. But she's happy with it.

Strong fabric that doesn't tear if you have to pull out and redo. I use it for punch needle work with 2 strands of DK wool. Wish you also stocked a higher count monks cloth that I could use with a single strand of DK

I received the product before the due date. Really pleased with the monk's cloth which I am using for Swedish weaving. It is advisable to machine stitch down each side of the non selvedge edge about 1 inch in and they fray. Then machine wash and tumble dry. This is because the fabric shrink alot. It's really lovely cloth to work with.
