Made of 100-percent cotton yarn. The plastic tube packaging keeps the fabric free of folds and creases and is great for storing projects and supplies. After stitching, hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild liquid soap. Aida fabric has a precise square-patterned weave with visible stitching holes that makes this fabric easy to use and allows your needle to easily glide through the holes. Each square represents a cross stitch. Comes in 14-count. Made in USA. Available in black color. Measures 15-inch length by 18-inch width.

I’ve been stitching for nearly 40 years so it wasn’t a surprise at all that the fabric was initially stiff. I stitch in hand and once the fabric warms and is worked a few times the stiffness goes away. High quality fabric was easy to work with. My first time stitching on black, my project looks great!

This worked GREAT for my project. Although it's not black black. I'd consider it more off-black? I ended up changing how to finish my project as the black in my frame WAS black black. I bought this to avoid having to do the black thread in my project. Just as an FYI the DMC black thread is darker than this aida as I compared the two. With all of this being said, I do not regret my purchase and I would purchase again.

black can be a very hard color to work with, this cross stitch material is thick enough so that I don't get confused trying to count out spaces. it can be stiff to work with but that goes away over time.
